Wyze Robot Vacuumm out of stock

When will the Wyze Robot Vacuum be back in stock?

Has anyone ever seen a company that has no idea when they will have a product back in stock?

If WYZE can’t tell me when the WYZE robot vac will be back in stock, who should I ask?

Did you try asking Wyze Support? This is primarily a user-to-user support community, so most communication posted here isn’t specifically directed to Wyze, even if that’s your intent.

I noticed that the Robot Vacuum product page has a Notify me when back in stock! button, so I’d definitely sign up for that. I’m going to do a couple of other things to see about getting you some help, too:

  1. I’ll ask someone from Wyze for input on this and let you know what I learn unless that person chooses to respond here.
  2. I’ll ask the Moderators to reclassify your topic, because the Services & Integrations category and the tags you chose aren’t optimal for visibility on this particular issue. It should probably be in the Home category with a robot-vacuum tag. Tags can be tricky here and aren’t always intuitive (e.g., some tags can’t be used in some categories), but don’t sweat it. For what it’s worth, you can always  Flag your own topics and choose Something Else to send a message to the Moderators if you feel that your topic’s category or flag(s) need(s) changes.

Unfortunately, the response I received is that Wyze Vacuum is “end of life”, so they’re not expecting to restock it. :slightly_frowning_face:

Since they recently introduced Palm Lock, I wonder if that indicates a shift back into some non-camera smart home products. I hope that’s the case, because I’d actually like to see an updated robot vacuum (but with a user-accessible on-board camera), watch, and smart plug with integrated night light.

When I asked the agents they would not confirm this information (eol) but only that it was out of stock. They offered me a wyze credit for my device or the offer to send it in for replacement at some future time. The unit worked well for almost a year - I find this unfortunate and an indicator on whether to trust their products moving forward given the lack of service.

I understand that hesitance, and I can’t say that I blame you. I can’t account for what an agent told you, as I had to ask someone within the company and that person had to get an update from someone else to relay the information to me, so it’s possible that the agents who handled your question haven’t been informed. I also learned not long ago that they no longer stock replacement parts for their Headphones, so eventually I’ll have to get replacement earpads elsewhere.

As far as product longevity is concerned, I’ve had one Bulb Color that was replaced under warranty, and I’m still using original Plugs from 2019. I’ve personally been curious about robot vacuums off and on over the years but haven’t ever tried one. Since I don’t see a mention of what’s no longer working with your robot vacuum, I wonder if it could be repaired, as apparently replacement batteries and other parts are available from third-party sources.

This was deemed a warranty issue - so unclear to me why I get to spend my own money to fix Wyzes issue, and invalidate the warranty at the same time. They were quick to want the unit back but would not repair it so I would be sitting on my hands without a unit.

As an engineer - yes I believe the battery is weakening - but the software also appears to be either corrupted or badly designed as the unit dies without trying to return to base to charge. Trying to catch it in the act is difficult but it appears to run out of battery juice when it thinks it has 12% charge.

By the way if they want to send me a battery and have me do the swap - Im happy to do that to. But currently even though I have a number of Wyze products in my home I will not be adding to them given this performance. Actions do have consequences - you may want to communicate that to the sales and business team members at Wyze / Xiaomi

They haven’t sold these vacuums in awhile…so your warranty is long expired. Roomba only gives you 1 year.

Not sure what you would be expecting in terms of a warranty claim.

Your data is faulty - the unit was purchased less than 1 year ago. Wyze determined that it was a valid warranty claim. Their offer was return the unit but as they are not shipping units they could not give information on when a replacement unit would be shipped. Or issue a credit to purchase something else from Wyze.

To answer your question on my expectation regarding a warranty claim - is to honor the terms of a warranty by either fixing the unit or replacing it. I would go so far as to replace a component (such as the battery) if Wyze sent a valid replacement battery - the reviews online indicate that some units were bricked when owners did modifications independently of Wyze.

My robot vac fell down the stairs. They are not supposed to do that!

Wyze asked me to return it as it was covered under warranty, and they issued me a gift card for $107.

Unfortunately the gift card is worthless as they don’t have replacement robot vacs available. I’m shocked that Wyze can’t tell me when they will be back in stock. If Wyze doesn’t know who should I call, Irobot?

What a joke.
