Does not fully rotate when unlocking. Is this common issue or do I have a bad unit? Only unlocks if door is open, when closed it will not turn more than 60% .

Couple of thoughts.

Is the bolt pressed against the frame when the door is closed?

Have you tried to recalibrate the lock?

Might have to open it back up and make sure the cam bar is lined up with the Cylinder properly

Palm lock - disappointed to say the least

I wonder if the motor issue has anything to do with bolt latch friction in the door jamb. When I first installed Palm Lock, I didn’t do anything special to the jamb side, and to me the Palm Lock sounded and felt (when I would manually turn the internal knob to lock) like it was meeting some resistance, I think because it was rubbing against the strike plate. Also, the lock that it replaced has a bolt latch with a slight taper to it, whereas the one on Palm Lock seems more perpendicular to the …

Is it possible that the batteries aren’t fully charged and the motor mechanism is struggling because of that? How tight is the fit of the latch into the jamb when you actuate it manually with the knob? A more detailed description of your experience might be helpful.
