Wyze lock bolt keypad

I am having issues with my Wyze Lock Bolt. The outdoor keypad doesn’t seem to work anymore. Doesn’t light up, pushing the buttons does nothing. I can operate the lock just fine through the app, so it’s still working.

I did take it apart and noticed there is a small button battery on a circuit board, not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not. My guess is it is more of a backup for config and the keypad is powered off the 4x AA, which I also just replaced new.

Anyone else have a similar problem like this? This is the second lock in 3 years. First one would just randomly try locking and unlocking and was replaced under warranty.

I have had no issues with cameras or home security in all the years I have had them, only the lock has given me issues.

Taking the lock apart further, there is blue corrosion built-up on the exterior circuit board. So the IPX5 rating doesn’t hold up. My guess is this is causing the keypad to fail. I can still power the interior board using the exterior emergency power plug with the batteries removed, so I know its partially working.

Mine is having the exact same problem, after 380-days of flawless use. Mine is under a roof, so no moisture can get in.

I discovered the problem, Although fine for over a year, the cable inside the lock was pinched during original install and it suddenly stopped working.
