Wyze Garage Door Controller IF Rule

I do see that I can create a schedule for the door to open/close. But Is there a way to set it to close on its own IF its been open for a period of time? So that If I am not available or miss the notification for the door being open for x minutes the door closes automatically for obvious security reasons. lol.

Possible feature request maybe.

Thanks!

Looking for the same solution myself.

Also trying to find how to have the garage door close automatically if left open.

I also want this feature!

Although the garage door controller can send notifications when the garage door is opened or closed, and it can send a notification if it is left open for a specified amount of time, it does not trigger any automation events that you can use in automation rules as the trigger for some action.

This may not be what you want or what you need, but I have an automation rule to close the garage door at 9pm, in case I have forgotten and left it open at the end of the day, and you could set a schedule for other times in the day.

However, the camera attached to the garage door controller can generate motion detection events that can be used as a trigger for some action, like closing the garage door. So you could have it close the garage door if it detected motion.

That may not seem too useful, because you would probably want to close the garage door when it does not detect motion for some period of time. But maybe it normally doesn’t see any motion when the door is closed, and would only detect motion if the door is open when the camera can see outside the door, which might mean that you left the door open, and then you could have it close the door if it detected motion.

Anyway, those are just a few ideas that came to mind.
