I’ve searched the forum and found others having issues with the WYZE Floodlight Camera V2 with regard to static/scratchy audio,. I’ve replaced the camera with another camera with the same results. If I listen closely I swear I can hear what sound like someone talking. Has anyone else experienced poor audio… almost ghostly like noise…? I relocated the first Floodlight Camera V2 to another area of my property and the states for the most part was gone. I’m wondering if the all plastic camera is allowing interference to corrupt the audio. I opened an issue with WYZE ticker number 4013527 but see the ticket has been closed with no solution. I’m really disappointed given the picture quality is excellent. For now I’m using my Arlo camera to capture audio… are there others with poor audio using the particular camera?
My floodlight v2 is mounted up near the side V of my roof not far from chimney. No audio issues. Clearly hear my 2 dogs barking when they are outside. Floodlight and 1 pan v3 pick up redundant audio of dogs and people talking on the street.
Android phone.
I opened a support ticket with WYZE regarding the audio issues I’m having with the Floodlight camera v2 and it seemed like support had some interest to resolve this issue… I offered to provide recording of the audio and was willing to beta any possible fix.
It’s been a few weeks now and I checked the status of the ticket, rather than resolve the issue support simply closed the ticket. I’m not sure the logic behind that… I’ve started to warn folks if they have a need for a floodlight camera that also requires audio this camera may or may not work. If you have static send ghost like sounds you most likely have the same issue I and others have. I would suggest not waiting for a fix.
