Floodlight cam speaker

My speaker on my newly installed floodlight cam V2 is now distorted when I check for live audio. Could it be from the rainstorm?

Do you mean the microphone is picking up distorted audio? I’m not sure which rainstorm you’re talking about, but if there was heavy rain, water could potentially have gotten into it. Try blowing it out or giving it some time to dry.

Hello Dave. Thank you for the response. Yes, we have been having some rain in Chicago. I have installed the floodlight camera underneath an overhang so it doesn’t get direct weather or sunlight. I pushed the live audio button on the live view and it sounds very choppy and distorted, although the recording notification tone that I have set to chime on the camera itself outside when it starts recording sounds good audibly. Strange. I also had to restart the camera today because it was not connecting. It seemed to work great before all this rain. I have installed per the instructions… maybe it’s needs dried out and sealed better to the Floodlight camera plug in mount that I have it mounted to. What do you think. Thank you for any help and advice

That sounds more like a wifi signal issue if you’re having choppy audio and losing connectivity. Weather can impact wifi so it could just be the cam is borderline and when the air gets denser it puts it over the edge.
