1. Why did you choose Wyze (Why Wyze)?

I want to help people use smart home devices easily and Wyze is a really good platform to achieve my goal.

2. What team are you on and what do they do?

I am on the Cloud Service team. We are in charge of the Wyze Home Monitoring Membership Service.

3. How long have you been with Wyze and what do you do here?

I’ve been at Wyze for 2.5 years, I am a Software Development Engineer and I help to build the backend services. My projects include 3rd party integration, Wyze Home Monitoring, Cam Plus Pro, in-app purchase, and some new secret projects.

4. What’s your favorite thing about working at Wyze?

Including new products, Wyze also launches new services, like Wyze Home Monitoring and Cam Plus Pro. I feel very excited and rewarded to work directly with my colleagues to build the services and help our customers use Wyze devices more conveniently.

5. How have Wyze product(s) impacted your life?

Before I joined Wyze, I thought one high-end smart cam could never be less than 100 dollars. But Wyze changed it and it makes the decent smart home device affordable to everyone. These devices have become part of my life and helped to record all the exciting moments around me.

Glad to put the face to the Cloud Services including the home monitoring side. This area is extremely important and necessary to the Wyze infrastructure and to security minded community members. Can’t wait to see what improvements will be made in the near future.

Ohhh…don’t mind me, just doing a shameless plug for a public API for improved 3rd party integration…though I’ll settle for Matter in the long term, I know you guys are researching that to be able to have more 3rd party integration. :slight_smile:

Now that’s just cruel…we need some hints, even obscure ones… :pleading_face:

I know WyzeShawn and others have mentioned in AMA’s and AI threads that you guys have been working on improving the cloud pipeline to be able to do more things more affordably with the AI, etc. I look forward to seeing what else you can do with cloud when you get it all optimized to allow us to have more awesome features!

What 3rd party integrations? Iffft… haha. When will you put in your big boy tech pants and do an api. I talked up your company from the beginning and I can’t any longer. Closed systems like yours are so windows 95. I’m very disappointed in wyze.
