Wyze Duo Cam Pan - Threaded 1/4" hole

I received the new Wyze Duo Cam Pan camera but notice I cannot use the 1/4” threaded hole. I tried using a Phillips screwdriver to remove the bolt but it will not budge. It is really tight. Before I try even harder I want to know if anyone has removed it? Can it be removed?

I use a bendable rod Gooseneck Monitor Mounting Bracket connected to my curtain rod that has a 1/4” screw that attaches to my Wyze V3 Pro camera. I was hoping I could just swap in the new camera.

It should be removable. I noticed with several cams I have when removing the mounting bracket, that screw was very tight and required a little extra “muscle" to loosen and remove it. I don’t believe Wyze has a cam where that screw and bracket can’t be removed.

Try an impact driver if you have one. They may have used a dab of thread locker on it.

Reasonable suggestion but not sure it needs to be that drastic. A medium phillips or flat that goes deep into the screw head with a little extra strength has always worked for me. Can’t say that I have ever seen any residue on the threads in or out. The metal to metal threading would be condusive to a little extra tightening.

Thanks to all. I used my cordless drill and screwdriver attachment.
It came out. It looks like they used some sort of Loctite on the threads.

An impact used gently is far less drastic than trying to use raw torque and rounding out the head even more than they already did.

I haven’t tried removing the screw, but yes, it should be removable. How else can the lower camera be aimed sideways? I’d try an offset screwdriver like this.

See above answer on my using a drill and screwdriver attachment. I did however buy a ratchet screwdriver after seeing your post for future tight screws or nuts.
