Wyze car no longer working?

If you updated 2 days ago, that was not the hotfix as Wyze just pushed this new Android version (3.0.14) of the Wyze Car app out earlier today. I think the only change was to fix the login issue encountered by some users. If you’re not having login issues, you don’t have to update.

Mine is dead as a door nail. My powerpack is fine. I also tried plugging the camera to direct power but it will not come on. Unable to reset. No lights whatsoever. Barely ever used it, but it is out of warranty. Any ideas anyone?

The issue is back were you can’t hit the finish button. What’s going on

Mine is working. Had to reinstall the camera

What is going on is NOTHING. I can not access the camera to get the car to work. The battery pack is fine. It used to work fine and when not in use I charged the pack regular. I get notices to update, but can not access it to update.

How do you reinstall the camera when it will not even come on?

Best of luck. This seems to be the only work-around. :four_leaf_clover:

Good question. Mine came on but would not connect. So I removed the camera via the app and then reinstalled it. It then connected and everything seems to be working again. :man_shrugging:t3:

So its back to where i cant hit the finish button. I thought this was reaolved a few weeks ago…

New update out. Try it and let us know how it goes for you

I have been at this for a Hours no matter what I do I cannot convert the camera to use car mode Converting the firmware fails over and over ,new camera .
I have another camera that I was using before on the car and it is converted to the proper firmware but it will not show up to select it. Not working not fixed
Car app Firmware 3.0.15 – car Firmware 4.55.0.114

Hey thanks for response. Unfortunately the update dosent seem tobhave solved my issue. Everything acts the way it should untill its time to hit finish. Its like the button isnt really there. If i mash it continuously, it eventually returns me the beginning of the setup process again.

I can see the camera in the wyze camera app, and i can tell it has the car firmware as it has linited functionality.

After the update that fixed the finish button issue a few weeks ago it worked. But for whatever reason, it got deleted from the car app, and inhavent been able to finish the setup process sonce.

Any advise? Ive reset the v2, tried on different phones with different android versions, and even attempted it on different 2.4g networks.

I got the update and it fixed my issue which was the app didn’t open and kept saying network timed out. Now it works as it should. Warning… Do not delete a camera or you probably won’t be able to reinstall one with this issue. I made that mistake last time and then got the frozen “finish” button.

Just got my car back out to show my kid and I’m having the above issue still… I go through the whole process of connecting the cam, it gets stuck where you name it and I can’t select finish. The cam shows up in the regular wyze app with the entered name, but not in the Wyze Car app…

@WyzeTeam is this being looked into? I feel like this has been going on for months

I had fun with it in the past drove down the street and back from my couch.
I think it’s pretty low priority for wyze to fix it , because of this situation it’s just a piece of junk.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but here’s my experience…

I noticed they updated the app, so after I downloaded the latest version of Wyze Car app, I tried to run it, but it wouldn’t connect to my camera. I went through the steps to try and add the car camera back into the app, but when I got to the QR code screen, nothing was there to scan, even after cycling the setup process a few times.

What worked for me is I did the following…
On the app side, I logged out of my account, uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and connected it to my Wyze account.
After plugging the camera back in, I hit the camera reset button, and walked through the setup process again, and the QR code appeared this time. Everything was smooth sailing from there, and it even knew to download and apply a firmware update for the camera.

I hope this helps someone because I saw other people having similar QR code issues leaving comments on the Google Play store.
