Wyze car no longer working?

Jason, do you have an estimated date for the fix? If its not going to be fixed within the 30 day return window I’d like to know.

Has this issue been resolved? I just grabbed mine out for the first time in months, and can’t get it add it anymore… It’s like the finish button isn’t there

It hasn’t been resolved to my knowledge.

I do not have an estimated date unfortunately.

Well then this is getting returned. My son-in-law confirmed his is no longer working. I think you guys better get ready for a class action suit.

The new one I bought just went back and the other one I have less than two years they’re taking back or else sign me up for the class action. You know… I wouldn’t be this angry if they had just released a statement instead of us all trying to figure it out on our own and in my case, buying a second one thinking mine was toast, then having to come here to verify others had same problem. And three weeks later they’re just getting into it with still no statement or official update. Just really bad business sense.

This is exactly what mine does

So here’s what I’ve found. I believe it has to do with the most recent wyze car app update. Which wasnt too far out if Im remembering right. I can see camera
via the wyze app ( running the wyze car firmware, as most camera options aren’t available). but during setup in the wyze car app it won’t finish 100 percent . The binding process completes on the camera but you can’t move past the “hit finish” button one you’ve named the car. Then it’s kind of stuck in limbo ,if you exit the app you have to start the process over again. Forever loop

I got an email last week saying from a Wyze tech that they were sending out an update to the app and it would be fixed within a week.

The issue with the app started with the ATT outage… so I was told by Wayze when I first contacted support a month ago

Yup. Exactly what I’ve experienced. Go to name the cam and you get the spinning circle of death.

For me, the Wyze car app updated today and it doesn’t work. At first it said “server was down” , 10 minutes later it says get started and when you click that it says “browser not installed”, click “ok” and doesn’t do anything.

I saw this and updated my app (play store) and it worked. I noticed right after starting the app that it prompted me to choose between my existing cams which I hadn’t gotten since this started. But I chose to add the unused cam on my car for a 100% fresh start and everything went smoothly as it should. I don’t know why it’s prompting you about a browser when none is used in the process… it’s all thru the car app, They just request the wifi name and pw and it connects.

Well I’m happy again that I can keep an eye on and feed treats to my 15 year old dog while I’m at work, Who started looking around for the car after it stopped coming out of a hiding place every day to deliver his afternoon delight. Anyway, I wish they had fixed this sooner or been more upfront about the issue or that a fix was DEFINATELY coming instead of non committed answers as to when, or I’d have kept that second car as a back or put it on my second floor where I could have used it to watch my dog when he’s upstairs.

Looks like the issue has been resolved I was hitting the roads Patrol on the streets early this morning. Make sure you update your app.

Just like my Unce says

Drive it like you stole it.

Thanks wyze team!!! Lots of love!!!

Thank you for confirming. :+1:

I updated two days ago. Was that the same update because mine started working immediately. Would rather not roll the dice on hot fix update.
