I have been a Wyze cam and product user for over 6 years. Have been paying $2/month for cam plus lite for 3 or 4 years. Beginning in December Wyze seems to have cancelled that option from all my cameras that were associated with it. Because I purchased have home security, from Wyze, Wyze offered me free Cam Plus for one camera which I opted in to 2 years ago. It seems that with the renewal of the home security product all of the Cam Plus Lite functionality has been removed, but they are still charging me for it. I did not change anything over the last 2 years in cameras that were associated with the Cam Plus Lite. Can anyone help me out here? What is going on?
The home security shouldn’t have affected it.
However, if you ever used or did a trial of their latest subscription called Cam Unlimited Pro, then that subscription DOES cancel Cam Plus Lite forever and you can never get it back again. But it is my understanding that is the only way they remove it automatically.
If this happened recently and you didn’t realize it (they usually give lots of disclaimers about this), you can try to talk to customer service, but I don’t know what options they will have or if they can fix it, but that is your best hope, to convince them to escalate it to someone higher up to see if they can give you an exception (which may not be possible since they are trying so hard to get rid of that grandfathered sub).
I can understand them wanting to make a profit … but I really wish they had given a heads up about the changes and option available prior to the change
The timing on this was pretty poor
I did have Cam Plus Lite for several years, for 2 camera … until noon today 12/18/25 … When 1 webcam is just now saying (Locked) with a cute little squirrel’s butt looking for food on my back porch

I guess I’ll just pull the plug on that one … the other cam is more important … so they’ll just be getting the same $$ amount from me in the future … just not as happy … ![]()
Is it possible CPL just got turned off on the cameras. Its very hard to find in the app (I believe intentionally).
On android:
- go to the Account tab
- select services
- tap the arrow with 3 lines in the upper right
- tap the 3 dots on the right of the cam plus lite section
- select manage camera
- make sure the cameras are selected
