Wyze Cam V4 warranty

My question is, what’s the warranty on my Wyze Cam v4? It’s been active less than a year and I was just curious. It will not power on now. I’ve changed power supplies to verify also

Thanx

There’s a link for this at the bottom of pretty much every page on the main Wyze Web site. Probably what you’re seeking is this:

  1. LIMITED WARRANTY
Except as set forth below, Wyze warrants to the original owner of the Product that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date you purchased your Product from Wyze or an authorized retailer (the “General Product Warranty Period”).

If you haven’t already done so, then I’d be inclined to open a ticket with Support. If you can demonstrate that the device was purchased from an authorized retailer less than a year ago, then the return process is pretty easy.

I have not submitted a ticket and I have screenshots of my purchase thru Amazon. How do I submit a ticket? Who do I contact to start this process?

Start by visiting the Support link from my previous post. Once there, click in the “AI-powered search” box in the center of the page. Enter create ticket (it might be necessary to do this more than once). The chatbot should respond with a minimalistic form where you can input your name, e-mail address, and a brief description of your issue. (You might have to jump through a few hoops first, but if you’re persistent with create ticket it should offer you the form.)

After you submit the form, Wyze’s ticketing system will likely send a generic e-mail response about the ticket creation followed shortly by a message from the Wyze-E support bot. I usually wait until after the Wyze-E message to give a detailed description of the problem because the form they give you within the chat window on the Support site is barely adequate. After you reply to Wyze-E, the next response you receive should be from a human agent, and that person will likely suggest a few troubleshooting things to try before offering a replacement. If you can show an order number from Amazon (the screenshot should be good, especially if it shows the purchase within the past year :+1:), then they’ll probably ask for a few other things, like the device’s MAC address (from Settings ➜ Device Info), your contact information, etc., and then get a replacement on its way.

You could also try chatting with them or calling during business hours, but I tend to use e-mail because it’s at my own convenience.

Not even sure if they still have chat, but when I did a warranty replacement over a year ago, I just chatted, sent them a few things they asked for, and they shipped a new cam, didn’t even want the old one back. The new one shipped from Amazon (they fulfill a lot of their orders via Amazon, even if you buy from their website).
