That is the problem. If you restart again, there’s a good chance you’ll be going through the same scenario again.
I am testing. 2 cameras have started to work by doing this. I will do a restart after and see if it breaks. @Seapup , I will let you know my testing experience on this.
No user should have to go through this after updating firmware. Wyze is looking at this issue and I think they have enough logs. But they are out for the most part due to holiday season. If the issue is a showstopper for any beta users, fall back an app version (or firmware version). For Android, that version is 2.47.0.373.
I 100% agree. I am testing to see what the experience is. I have also provided a log which shows that the FW is not necessarily the issue.
@bryonhu does not have the Beta Firmware loaded on any cameras, matter of fact they are not in the beta program. But when the updated the app they had streaming issues and the error -27. They then backed out the 2.48 app and everything started to stream again. So it may be app related more than Firmware related.
Not sure, but speculation on my part.
To complicate the issue, I’ve been streaming production firmware cams with the 2.48.0.379 app for 7 days with no issues.
Ok, so I did my test. Does not seem to work for the V3Pro. Some of the V3’s started to stream and was available on both WiFi and LTE. I then restarted the cameras via a power cycle and they all stopped again except 1. Cannot explain why that one is still streaming.
But I am back to he state I was in before.
@Seapup , I think this validates your statement about power cycling the cameras.
Yep, I found that out 5 days ago up above.
Yea, I did that as well. Once I updated the FW, it died on me. Interesting the difference in experiences individuals have.
That probably explains why Wyze didn’t find this issue in Alpha testing.
What was funny is that it happened to me almost immediately where as others had no issues at first.
As a developer, these are the most intriguing and fun things to work on.
That’s what happened to me when I 1st updated! Then all went South.
I pulled the trigger on most of my cameras positioned outdoors.
But at least they are still working and notifying. Just cannot Live Stream them.
I’ll be doing the same either later today or early tomorrow. Then I’ll just use the 2.47 app to do 24/7 live streaming on my critical cams.
Yep. I am switching to my Galaxy Flip 5, as my daily driver for a bit, and will load 2.47 on it.
I have noticed that if I am on my home WIFI network, dropping to the 2.47 brings the cameras back, If I am not on my home network, either cellular or another WIFI connection I can’t live stream the cams.
Interesting but my cameras are all now streaming with the new app version and firmware.
Yea, just heard that they may have fixed the issue. I am checking as well.
Edit
I just tested all of my affected cameras and everything seems to be working now. I believe the fix was put in place on the sever side which did not require any App or Firmware update.
Cool! Nice work Wyze. It could be my imagination, but my feeds seem to be loading quicker than normal also.
Can anyone having the issue of the offline v3/v3 Pro or the -27 error please power cycle your camera and let me know if there is a change?
So are mine. I like it.
