Hey fellow Wyze users.

I had a hard time connecting my camera the first time and saw many people have the same issue. The directions tell you to have the QR code 5 or 6 inches away from the phone screen.

What worked for me was having the QR code as far back as 2 feet. I reset the camera and tried again at a distance. Instantly found the QR code.

Glare could be another factor. I was putting an SD card into a Wyze camera installed outdoor when I accidentally pressed the setup button. No matter how many times I tried it wouldn’t get past the QR code scan. I took the camera down and redid the setup indoor to do a successful scan.
