I had a camera Wyze V2, i did gift it. Now I’m trying to install a camera Wyze V3, but can’t. Does not read QR code. gives this error but nothing helps. (A recent update for the Wyze Cam V2 is causing a crashing issue. This can be corrected by force-closing the Wyze App and reconnecting to the affected V2 Camera.)
Welcome to the Wyze community @Alexey!
Make sure you’re selecting the Wyze cam V3 during setup in the app and your Wyze app is updated. If all seems fine, try forcing close of the Wyze app and try setup again.
If the camera isn’t “seeing” the setup code(shown on phone), make sure the brightness is turned up on your phone and the plastic film is removed from the V3’s lens.
Hi @Alexey and welcome to the Community forum!
When the camera is attempting to read the QR code from your phone, hold it about 6~8 " away.
Sometime turning it sideways or up-side-down works.
Make sure there are no other lights reflected in screen. esp. LED or fluorescent lamps.
If you have a high resolution screen, may need to enlarge QR code. check Settings - Screen Zoom.
Also check Blue Light Filter.
I tried everything, on the V2 version, everything worked fine. thank you.

So you’re still having issues? Is the camera not seeing the code or does it scan and give an error message?
Did you install the V3 using the V2 selection in the app? Doing this can cause issues. If so, delete and reinstall the camera.
I no longer have Camera V2. I choose to install a new device Wyze Cam V3.
I installed a camera on my account Wyze V3. I get this error (A recent update for the Wyze Cam V2 is causing a crashing issue. This can be corrected by force-closing the Wyze App and reconnecting to the affected V2 Camer)
I have reinstalled Wyze 3 times already. there may be a problem with account settings

I’m thinking this may not be a QR code issue. Are you able to get to the V3 in the app, then get presented with the error message?
Have you tried forcing close of your Wyze app, then re-opening it? If that doesn’t work, try deleting and reinstalling the Wyze app, then try to view the camera.
As a side note, you don’t need to reply the same thing to multiple users as we can see all replies in the topic.
Thank you
