Cam V3 setup won't reed barcode

Has anyone had trouble with the V3 not reading the barcode at setup? I’ve attempted setup with my ipad, cell phone and even printed barcode to eliminate glare on screen. I’ve used a different cord. I’ve called wyze tech support as well. They confirmed my wifi was running correctly. Any ideas or suggestions for this newbie?

Did you take the small blue film off the camera lens ? Some other information here.

It took me a while to make it work. At first I was holding my camera too close to my phone. But then I pulled the camera back about 8 or 10 inches, and then I hear the sound confirming it read the barcode.

Try placing the phone face up on a table (while showing the qr code screen), then place the camera when its ready to read the qr code lens down on top of the camera. Now slowly pull the camera up from the phone screen until the camera hopefully reads the qr code after they separate about 6-9 inches.
