I see, that’s the RTSP one. Thanks!
Same issue here. Although it did EVENTUALLY connect after a couple power cycles, as mentioned above, it was very sluggish to load.
After clearing the cache mine started loading fine, a bit slower than the previous version but liveable.
Extremely exciting, I will give it a try this weekend.
Is this expected to come to V4 cameras as well? I have a mix of V2, V3, V4, Pan V3, and Spotlight V2, plus a duo doorbell. Would love to get everything going on RTSP through frigate and homeassistant.
I was looking at replacing everything with other brands or with wired PoE cams since something broke the bridge I use earlier this year, but this is even better and just might keep me in the wyze ecosystem if there’s broad device support.
The V3 and Pan V3 cover a ton of them though so it’s a lovely start.
Yes, Wyze is working on it as we speak.
I updated 2 of my 5 V3’s to 4.36.16.5654 and realized they can no longer be found by TinyCam. Anyone else seeing this?
Yes, all the latest firmware updates from wyze (multiple models) break tinycam. Presently the rtsp stream will not work in tinycam either. And it doesn’t seem like tinycam will be updated, the developer is apparently working for wyze now.
So, after “resolving” the issue of one of my V3s not showing live view by clearing the cache, I went ahead and updated the firmware on the other four cams. Lo and behold, the issue came back on another three cameras, this time on both iPad and iPhone.
Wyze needs to address this issue before releasing the production version of this firmware.
He has been for many years, longer than I have been here and I have been here for 3 and a half. He usually still updates TinyCam. I have not heard anything about him abandoning it.
He used to reply in the tinycam Reddit forum regularly but nothing for quite a while, as problems have been reported. And the app hasn’t been updated in a while.

After additional testing with my V3s, I came to a conclusion that only the group view is affected on both iPhone and iPad with both versions of the app, production 3.9.0 (7) and beta 3.10.0 (4). It looks like it can’t reliably hold the live stream if more than 4-5 cameras in a group. I also created two groups, one with 4 and one with 3 cameras, and if I select one group to view it loads fine but the second fails or it takes forever to load. There was a similar issue some time ago, maybe year or more ago when there was more than 6 cameras in group. Single cameras load fine from the home tab.

At least one of my Pan V2’s can no longer be reliably viewed, it stalls on loading, eventually times out (error code 20011), and neither soft resetting services, nor soft rebooting the camera (remotely from the app) help. Will try a hard (power off) reboot, but my advice would be, to AVOID this firmware patch, for your Pan V2s, especially if at a remote location.
Hard reboot doesnt help; i confirmed Habib’s observation, the problem occurs when accessing the cam from a GROUP; selecting the individual camera from DEVICES brings it up fine, then its viewable from the GROUP, but only during this app session, killing and restarting the app, the problem still exists.
Using beta software comes with its drawbacks. We signed up to test it and report back so Wyze can squash any bugs. Anyone not willing to do that should only use production versions.
The link https://wyze-beta.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Panv3__4.55.16.5055 downloads version Pan3_4.50.16.5055.zip which breaks the Android app connection for me. Is this just a typo or does the link on the website needs to be updated?
I’m having trouble with my V3Pros after updating to this firmware:
- All V3 Pro models won’t turn on the spotlight automatically with motion anymore.
- This is incredibly frustrating to me because I use them as a nightlight walking around the house.
- Most V3 Pros are having intermittent Live streaming issues now.
- They were still recording to the SD card and uploading events to the cloud successfully though. On one of them, I tried unplugging the camera and plugging it back in, then it completely stopped working including doing cloud events. I had to go through setup again and that finally fixed it. On another device, I just clicked reset services button and restart button and that fixed it for that Cam to start working again.
Nothing seems to fix the automatic spotlight issue though. I can turn the spotlight on and off manually, and I’ve tried going through setup again, and I’ve tried restarting the device, and retoggling the settings etc, but the spotlight still won’t turn on with motion automatically.
This V3 Pro firmware has some bugs that need to be resolved before it goes to production.
Us being beta testers for Wyze should not be like this.
We should be testing the new features and fixes, and reporting back if the fixes and features are indeed working as intended.
But the beta versions should already be tested by in house engineers and check off ALL functionality before releasing it to us.
We should not be reporting back all the new problems that should not have crept in to begin with.
Quality control should be a part of beta as well, but it certianly doesn’t seem like it lately.
I have not seen one beta in the last year or so that didn’t cause all sorts of problems, and then take weeks or months to finally fix.
Wyze, PLEASE, do better.
working v3 and pan-v3 on blue iris v5.4.6.3, stream is almost instant with no delay. setting it as http protocol will allow to choose the cam model as a vlc rtsp. next step is to figure out the ptz controls for the the pan-v3. was going to get rid of all my wyze cams and switch to tapo / tplink and reolink cams for their onvif support…….was, will see how this goes
