Pretty sure they said they are working on the V3 to work with google so not yet. The V2s do, I’ve been using it for over a year now!
v3 is sensitive to visible and ir light. I highly recommend it trying it out.
thank you. I guess I could still keep a V2 to run my Sense V1 and use the V3 for it’s siren. That said. What about monochrome mode? If I ever decide to say FU to my landlord and wire that outdoor IR Illuminator, I need to be able to have a monochrome setting that will turn off Wyze’s IR lights but still record without the color. It may be moot depending on how good the starlight sensor really is.
Would you recommend just hooking up the Outdoor Cam? Is it still a reasonable option?
I did want to put a separate message here. Thank you for releasing this product instead of some of the other products currently in “testing”. With the products currently in pre-order, this was the right next step (among a few other products that may or may not ever happen). There are a few that just don’t fit in the Wyze universe IMHO.
So how is this different from the Wyze Cam Outdoor? Does this mean all the issues with the Wyze Cam Outdoor will be addressed with a firmware update?
If you are still working on Google Assistant integration, why do you claim that it works with Google Assistant? Most people wont read these forum discussions, yet they will buy the camera based on the fact that they see the claim on the advertisement. This is fundamentally wrong, dishonest, and illegal.

Since Wyze said that version 1 and 2 could not support HomeKit due to hardware issues, I was hoping that v3 would be able to. I just want to see the cameras on my Apple TV without having to hack my cameras.
so the multi-positional mount/base comes off & the 1/4" screw mount is now integral? Is that what I am seeing? That’s a V2 I can’t sell to anyone (little DIY action - now obsolete).
@UserCustomerGwen will the Wyze Sense v2 bridge be backwards compatible with Wyze Sense v1 sensors ?

Can we power this from a portable battery? If so, I plan to use a portable battery with a built in solar recharging panel.
Otherwise, how long would a 20k mah battery last?
v1 & v2 could be daisy chained - 2 camera limit typically with power limitations. I assume that feature is gone? A v3 could be at the end of the daisy chain? Yes/No?
They literally just removed the sticker from the launch page…so funny. But, at least they are not breaking the law.
I did some research into this. the portable battery approach is workable. You have to do the math to figure out duration. My caveat to this is if you want to use a constantly plugged battery pack (sort of a battery backup). This is problematic for many reasons and although many manufacturers claim passthru power, it either cycles on switching sources or isn’t true passthrough and ruins the battery over time. I had a jackery in my car for awhile and claimed to have passthru but when it switched from line to battery , it would cycle the Wyze Cam V2
@isaiah58 The most current consumption I’ve seen on my sample V3 is 0.38A (w/‘near’ LEDs on).
A V2 I just tested is around 0.52A max w/LEDs on.
@pthalodezin Together that is 0.90A, just inside a 1A power adapter. So, as always daisy-chain 1 camera only from a V2. There is no way to daisy chain from a V3.
That’s what I expected and to anyone thinking you can get around this… no you can’t. You can’t just go with a higher amperage adapter. The power would fry the V2 as it “passed it through” to the second in the chain (at least that is my understanding)
