Wyze Cam V3 - Cannot reset, will not connect, slow blinking red with a mechanical whirring sound

I have a Wyze cam V3 that was working before and has stopped functioning. It only has a very slow blinking red LED with a mechanical whirring sound each time it blinks.

I tried power cycling it many times, I held the setup button a number of times for more than a minute but it did not reset and nothing changed. I removed it from my app and tried to add it again after power cycling it but no sound comes out.

What could the issue be and how can I resolve it? How do I add a video clip here so people can see and hear what is going on?

How old is the camera? Have you tried different power adapter and/or cable?

First step is try a different power source. Any wall wart type USB power supply can fail. No (or bad) power can cause all kinds of issues.

As for posting a video, all new members are restricted in order to slow down spam. A moderator can upgrade you or it will automatically upgrade after some number of valid posts.
