Wyze cam v2 stops continuous recording to SD card

If you got six years of service out of the Wyze branded cards, consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky. The early Wyze cards were total crap. Assume the cards are end of life and plan on replacing the, with good quality High Endurance cards.

I think 6 years is extremely good, all things considered. The replacement camera has been recording fine with the same old Wyze 32GB SD card - so far anyway / for about a week now. 9/25/2024 Update: card recording didn’t last. Tried full format on PC which worked at first, but then apparently made the card unrecognized, then Fat32 format on PC got it recognized again and recorded again, but stops recording after about 10 days. Purchased SanDisk High Endurance 128GB card to try (will update). 9/26/2024 Update: Installed SanDisk High Endurance 128GB card in the V2 yesterday - recording worked right out of the package (no formatting) and still recording today. Two of my V2’s still recording with the 6-year-old Wyze 32GB cards. I always use both Continuous and Event recording.

I still have my original non-high performance micro SDs in my v2 cams, but still fine after 6 years. Although, I only record events.
