Wyze Cam v2 and Pan firmware 4.X.8.501 Released - 11/10/21

Installed without issue on a test v2 (power-cycled cam first, force-closed app and reopened, abundance of caution.) Plays well with Wyze app v2.22.21 so far (for those OS-excluded a while back.)

Didn’t solve this:

Legacy Person Detection on v2 registers person, uploads 12-sec clip and sends person notification, but the related Rule (if person detected on v2, turn on bulb) only fires erratically. When it fails, the bulb doesn’t light and there is no entry in the Rules History.

Up until I updated the firmware from two versions back to the recent, tinyCam was happy jack as a dark mode super well designed swipable coasting monster.

Now each camera cyles from full stream to 0 and back every ten seconds or so. So herky-jerky motion wise.

but hey those’ll probably come with the Time Sync fix…

To be clear, tinyCam isn’t Wyze concern, it must catch what Wyze is pitching and adapt, the dev knows that.

I’m just lamenting a solid performance lost.
