Recenty my pan v3 won’t turn on.
I’ve tried resetting it and using a different cable and outlet.
When I plug it in or press setup for about 20 seconds, it never turns on.
No red light or sound.
Is there a way to check why it isn’t turning on. Doesn’t seem to have a way to remove the cover.
What did Support say when you contacted them? If the camera is less than a year old and was purchased directly from Wyze or an authorized retailer, then they may offer to replace it for you.
I think you’re doing the right sorts of things based on what you’ve written so far. If you’ve followed the steps in the troubleshooting article and still can’t get the device to power up, then it might be dead.
Not without some effort, no, but if you search YouTube you can find disassembly videos if you’re interested in doing some tinkering (something I probably wouldn’t do myself if the device was still covered by the warranty).
As a test, Can you try another Wyze cam at that location?
You said you tried a different cable and outlet. I presume you did but just in case, Did you try a different power adapter and that it is right size? 5V2A?
“**Wyze Cam Pan (all versions) and the Wyze Cam v3 Pro **are two Wyze cameras that require a 2 amp power adapters”
@davidwatson833, that’s a bummer about replacing it, but at least they’re relatively inexpensive. Was your Cam Pan v3 in a setting where it was exposed to the elements or something else that killed it? I’m just curious.
That’s a good question about the 5V ⎓ 2A power adapter. Thanks for thinking to ask that!
