My 3 Wyze cam pan V3 cameras do not move properly. If I press the left arrow once, they might move down or keep going left until the end. If I try to go back to the right, it MIGHT move right or suddenly point upwards. This happens to all 3 cams, not exactly the same way but still erratic. I reset the cameras and the App.
Do you have Pan Scan enabled? If so you may be fighting this feature. I have 3 of these cameras and have seen what you describe. In an ideal world the directional control would preempt the pan Scan. There may be timing issues that prevent this.
Same goes for track motion. You will fight that too.
@Djkeib8 if neither of those are enabled, it could be a wifi signal strength issue, however if you’re able to view live stream (smooth, not choppy or freezing) then it should be plenty for motion control to work.
I have the same problem. The control icon works a bit then the camera goes in a different direction. This is both on my phone and tablet. But using my finger on the screen it works fine. That’s the best way for me to control it.
Thanks for the replies. I do NOT have Pan Scan enabled. One is very close to the WIFI signal
and has clear/smooth video so I do not think it’s a distance from the router problem. Very
odd problem for sure. I’m going to try a hard (factory) reset and see what happens. Thanks again!
That’s the odd thing. If I use my finger to move the camera, it gets all wonky and does what it
wants to do but if I put it into Pan Scan, it will work just fine on it’s own. Thanks for the reply
What about “track motion”, does that do what it is supposed to - follow movement fairly accurately?
If you were upgraded to the 3.x app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (note - don’t do this if you’re still on the 2.5 app as that may mean your phone is not compatible and you can’t get the 2.5 app back easily). Some including myself have found the upgrade process doesn’t go smooth and things are buggy until you reinstall.
