Wyze Cam OG ---- When is Network “Change” Button coming to the OG Cam’s
My Wyze Cam v3’s have the “Change” network button in the app
but my OG Cam’s still don’t have the option to change wireless network from within the Wyze app.
The OGs have always been different than the other cams, they only recently got an interface update that makes them somewhat similar. The “network change” feature is fairly recent on the other models too so hard to say if they will roll it out to other cams or not.
But in reality, it doesn’t help a lot of people because by the time they think to use it, the old network is gone/offline. Since the OG uses bluetooth, you can actually delete it from the app, that will put it into setup mode, then assuming you can get close enough, can change the network that way. But you’ll have to redo some of your settings. But it is at least a workaround for cameras that you can’t reach.

Thank you for the reply, info regarding the Change network option.
It would be nice, if Wyze had the same feature for all the cam’s,. at the same time, some of my cams are high up, and have to break out the ladder.
I wonder if there is any word if Wyze has a timeline,
to were they will roll out the feature, so that all cams connected can use it.
I haven’t seen anything mentioned but who knows, maybe it is in the works. They recently updated the OG UI to more closely match the other cams so maybe adding that feature is on the list.
Keep in mind the trick to remotely reset the cam, if you can get close enough for bluetooth to work (as far as 50 feet but in reality probably 20 to 30) that may avoid having to get out the ladder.
Thank you Dave, I guess I will just have to keep my eyes and ears open in regards if they mention the update for the OG network change setting. In the meantime I am going to give it a try in resetting it, and see if it can be done, once I can get the chance… Getting older, so I am more aware of trying to stay off high up ladders,
