There is now a [Change] button next to “Network” under “Device Info” on multiple of my devices, but it gives me a “You will need to update the device firmware to use this feature” message, but there are no firmware updates available. Anyone else see this and have a fix?
This usually means one of the following:
Either a user is using an older app version, and the older app version doesn’t support the newest firmware version, so it won’t allow updating to the new firmware that supports it because the app wouldn’t support that firmware. (I’m guessing this is not the case for you since your app is new enough to be able to see the new button).
Or the firmware is still in beta testing, and hasn’t been released to public use yet. So it says you are up to date, but beta testers may potentially be able to update to the newer firmware.
Or you have the appropriate firmware, and the appropriate app, but there is some kind of bug. Sometimes restarting the camera and clearing the app cache can help with this.
I am seeing this as well with Android App version 3.10.0.745. However, the option seems to be greyed out. so it may be a feature they are working on.
I see it on my Cam V4’s only though. Some other devices will show you the SSID but not allow the changing of it. I also know the Palm Lock and Lock V2 allows changing of the SSID, but there is a manual step as well.
What version of the app are you using and which devices are you seeing it on?
I tend to agree with what @carverofchoice indicated below:
Thanks for the info. This is showing up on more than one type of device, but rebooting and clearing the app cache have not changed the response when picking the [Change] button.
I think this is the right answer:
I also think this is the key question:
I’d also wonder what firmware version(s) those devices are reporting.
FWIW, this has been discussed in at least one Beta topic, so it appears to be a feature that’s still in development:

Android App v3.10.0 (745): Wyze Cam v3, Wyze Pan Cam v3. Looks like I need to go beta to make it work. Thanks for the info!
FWIW, I do see that the Change button is active in Wyze production app v3.10.0.745 when looking at Cam Pan v3 running β firmware 4.50.16.5654. I haven’t yet set up a second Wi-Fi network to test it, but I think you’re probably right about switching to the beta channel in order to make this work for now.
Edit @ 2026-01-28T20:18:25Z
I was just able to switch that Cam to a guest Wi-Fi network using Android Wyze production app v3.9.0.739, so apparently this works even with the previous production app version and the beta firmware.
It is only available for cameras on beta 4.36.16.5654 and app 3.9.0. It’s not grayed out on my V3s but it is on the V4.
When I used it earlier to test changing a Cam Pan v3 to a different Wi-Fi network, I had to type in (I suppose I could’ve copied/pasted) both the SSID and password. I’m not sure why they chose to present it that way rather than making it more like the new device setup process where the app shows available networks so that a user can just choose one that the phone already sees. Hopefully they’ll allow the user to choose this latter method in the future.
