2 weeks ago everything was working perfectly fine, but last week I noticed my OG cams not showing live feed.
Removed cameras, re added them, uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times.
When I reinstall the app, the home screen will show live feed, but if I click to see a single OG camera, it will never connect and live feed in the home screen will not show anything.
My app current version is 3.2.0 (b576) on a pixel 8
Try removing a cam from your favorites screen and restart the app. Now if you go into that cam through the device list, does it work?
I’ve seen where things can seem to freeze up when the cams repeatedly have to re-establish the feed, which happens with the new app right from when you go into it.
Barring that, try downgrading to a non-beta version of the app.
I’m confused though, it shouldn’t be on your home if you removed it from favorites. Also you said previously it streams on the home screen just not when you go into it?
Yes, the same WiFi, but that shouldn’t be any problem, it always worked in Wi-Fi or cellphone data. When I uninstalled the app and reinstalled, the OG cameras were showing live stream at home, but once I would click on a single camera connection will be lost.
I would contact Wyze, get a ticket Number. I would also go to the settings page and submit a log.
Please post the log and ticket (if you have) here, I will see if we can get some eyes on this.
Also, try to go through the setup without removing it from your app. This will ensure your WiFi info is correct and establish a connection without losing any automations, rules, settings, etc.
The Wi-fi is correct. As I mentioned before, they were working fine and this started to happen. I removed them, re-added them and connection was successful. Cameras are recording just fine, but I cannot see live stream unless I delete the app and reinstall it.
To respond the question about checking the app using data I been away from home for over 2 hours and the problem persists.
My monitoring view does the opposite, my OGs load quickly and my Panv3s load slowly, if at all. Same with some other screens in the new app. But then if I close the app and reopen they’ll work.
There was a firmware update for the OGs that just came out, but the two I’ve installed it on aren’t having any issues connecting. Have you tried a non-beta version of the app?
Logs don’t do anything until you open a case to go with them.
Maybe they were having an issue with a server where your account resides and it was fixed, or maybe somehow that last reinstall finally removed a corrupted setting or woke something up.
One of the things I was going to suggest was totally deleting the cams, factory resetting them, uninstall the app, reboot and reinstall the app, then add the cams with a different name, in hopes that they would not inherit any corrupted settings or possibly get assigned a new identifier etc. But sounds like you may have inadvertently caused that to happen possibly (or there was just some partial outage that got fixed).
Who knows haha. One thing I forgot to mention is last week when this started and I deleted and re added the OG cams I was not able to rename them, when I was clicking the name the app was crashing and going to home
Hm, possible beta app issue or maybe something corrupted on the phone that finally got overwritten. Haven’t seen any of those issues with the release app.
