Intermittent issue: Cameras not accessible and no events found

This is an intermittent issue. Every few days, i cannot click on my devices to view a Livestream. At this time, the app will also tell me that there are no events found (for any day, even though I’ve seen the events in the past). I have no filters.

The only cameras that will load are the newer OG cameras and the doorbell.

It is frustrating that I cannot access my garage opener or my thermostat controls from my app.

Sometimes a restart of my device will fix the issue but usually it does not. After a few hours or a few days, Wyze app will work fine again… Until it doesn’t a few days later. This has been a consistent problem since the app was updated.

I haven’t seen this issue with the new app, but if restarting the camera helps, I would recommend setting up automation to restart your cameras every couple of days.

I have my cameras setup to restart twice a week and haven’t really seen any connection problems since.

The other account that has access to these cameras do not have any issues viewing the cameras or the events. It’s purely an app problem

It’s not a connection problem to the cameras. If I click on the device from the list, it should take me to a new page to view the camera feed. On this new page, I would know if there’s a connection problem.

Nothing happens when I click on the device from my device list. It just blips back to the device list and never loads the page where my feed would show if it was working

Have you tried force closing the app and/or clearing the app cache? Sometimes when the camera live stream takes a long time to load, I force close the app and start again and it loads just fine.

Yup, I’ve tried force closing the app, clearing the cache, restarting my phone and even uninstalling the app when I have this issue.

It eventually resolves on its own only for the issue to happen again in a few days

The live stream doesn’t take a long time to load. It just won’t let me view the live stream

Can you post a screenshot of when it doesn’t allow you to view the live stream? Maybe someone who has seen this issue can help you.

I’m having the exact same issue. It has not happened before today. It is happening right now and I cannot access anything but my OG cameras. Not sure what happened but it feels like a Wyze server side issue. The app was working fine as late as 1:30 this morning.

Hopefully, Wyze is aware of the issue and working on a fix. I am on Google Pixel 8 Pro with Android 14.

Right now, I am essentially at a complete outage. Even my newest camera, a V4 cam, will not come up in live view.

But I have an UPDATE:

After force-stopping the app, clearing the cache, and restarting my phone, it was still having the issue. I checked to make sure I have the latest app version and firmware for my cameras, which I do. The only thing left to do was to uninstall the wiseWyze app [3.0.5 (558)] because it would not let me log out. It gave me an error. So I did uninstall and then reinstall. When I logged back in, everything seemed to be working again. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen again soon. :crossed_fingers:t4:
