My pos Wyze cams are once again giving me issues - my camera will not detect the SD card. Lovely finding out that nothing was recorded after you hear a loud gunshot like sound right outside of your house. Brand new SD card too since I though the SD card had gone bad - apparently not. Has anyone been successful with getting a replacement under warranty or even a refund from something like this? I’m over these garbage cameras and I refuse to give Wyze another penny of my money, but I already paid for this POS so I’d at least like it to have the basic functionality that I paid for (“24/7” local recording except not really because it requires an internet connection to record - garbage).
I did have trouble with a particular “high endurance” microSD card being detected in one of my OGs. I swapped in a diff’t “high endurance” microSD card, spot-chked it several times over the course of a week, and, now it all wyrks.
PROTIP: if you are NOT using “high endurance” cards, I recommend spot-chking the playback of the microSD card once a week.
My Cam Pan v2 is on 4.49.11.8391 and my phone app is v2.50.5. The playback on the event tab shows no MicroSD card. This has been a problem since I bought this camera in April. I have done the ALL the protocol to test camera. To no avail. Today: 5/4/24

I specifically bought a brand new name brand high endurance card made for dashcams and cameras since I originally thought that the SD card had gone out - apparently I wasted my money because as usual the fault lies with Wyze. But hey, lucky me, Wyze support is gonna “look into it”. “we don’t have an estimated time frame yet on when it would be fixed but rest assured that they’re doing their best to investigate the root cause of the issue and trying to come up with a fix at the fastest time possible. ”. So essentially there’s an indefinite time frame while they “investigate” why one camera out of my 4 Wyze Cam OGs suddenly doesn’t work. What’s the point of the warranty if they’re just going to give indefinite timelines? Am I really gonna have to go through a dispute with my CC provider to get a working product? Insane.
I have sd card not recognized or able to be recorded for many weekks in my v3 cams, no resolution yet. I am told to buy nore cam plus or unlimited cam plus subscription. Everyone, please ask for free cam plus subscriptions till they can solve the problem.
I imagine that Wyze has a business need to make the warranty program difficult. How do they know their customers are honest, versus, just trying to get addtl free stuff? If I think about it from that perspective, it makes sense what Wyze reps are saying. However, it truly sux to be a customer with a faulty product
It appears you are co-mingling microSD card playback with cloud-based event videos. That makes it very hard to even try to help you.
I am sorry if I missed the step to explain what happens to receive the message: MicroSD Card Not Found. You will need a microSd card to view locally stored video. If you would like to use this feature, you can purchase one from our shop.2 Buttons: Close and Shop. When I click on Events tab and then on a specific event that will show somewhere between 3 secs and 16 seconds ( all depends on the day that Wyse programs a time for the event to play. Which is another problem with Wyze cameras and their software. So then on the tab that can play the event there is a button that should be used to PLAYBACK. Going back to the beginning of this email where I copied the screen error code. As you can see many people are having this problem. By the way Yes I do have an SD card in camera that won’t use the playback button on the specific camera event.

Here is my initial pile of OG cameras. These are trash because the “not-so-WYZE” guys won’t stand behind their products!! I suggest you make your own pile and give up on the OG’s. We are all wasting our time thinking WYZE cares and “is working on the issue”!!! We are being lied to!!! My OG issues have existed since January… NO RESPONSE. Do not buy OG cameras!!!
