Doing the updates now. Will report back if there are any issues

EDIT

Duo Doorbell updated without issue.

OG Cam Received Update Failed from the Group Updates Page. Tried twice with same issue. Restarted the camera and then went to try again and it showed as being updated. So there is an issue which indicated that the update failed when it really did not.

I don’t have a Duo Cam Doorbell to test, but this is cool to read:

I hope some people who like to complain about a push toward subscriptions are paying attention to things like that. :crossed_fingers:

I also hope that improvement is highlighted when this is released to production.

RE: Wyze Cam OG Firmware: Version: 1.0.92 shows as “Update Failed” but actually updates.

I also had this issue - Android app (3.4.0.b365) and 5 OG cameras.

It was the same with the 1.0.91 update.

Interesting, I did not have the issue on .91 as you did. But your confirmation on what I experienced is grateful.

I am also on Android app (3.4.0.b365)

And I see that the OG-Tele is still unloved. No new update - still on 1.0.80. I don’t understand why the Tele does not get the OG updates when the only difference between the OG and the OG-Tele is the lens.

OG CAMERA::
App says update failed, although the camera itself says out loud update successful. On bulk update page still shows failed update however if you go to the camera itself and look at the About, it shows the correct updated firmware number and when clicked on it says it is up to date.

Last night I was experiencing issues with my Duo Doorbell and connectivity. Basically I changed the sensitivity to 10 from 6. here are 3 issues I am experiencing now:

  1. Doorbell does not seem to be notifying on person unless they are directly in front and near the doorbell. Prior to this release I would receive notification as some was in view of the doorbell, on my driveway.

  2. Sensitivity at 10 seemed to not allow the Doorbell to connect. Instead it would sit spinning on step 1. I would do a Force stop, Clear cache in the app and the in App info on Adroid. Restart the phone and then it would connect. after connecting one time, I would experience the same thing, Performing the same steps would allow me to connect. I decided to lower the sensitivity to 6 and this corrected my connectivity issue.

Log for this issue is: 1787690

Image of what I am seeing is:

  3. I tried to format my SD Card and it indicates it was completed but formatting actually failed.

Log for this issue is: 1787701

Images of what I am seeing is:

Screen load   Format Screen  After format

Notice SD Card remained all green and not formatted.

For the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell, the false positive detection algorithm is still too low. I just tested: I had 8 full seconds of my car coming into detection range. and another 20 seconds of me waking to my door and unlocking. Only the 5 seconds of taking keys out and unlocking the door triggered motion detection and recording.

I’m AC powered. One recommendation is giving used the ability to turn off the minimize false alert algorithm if not on battery power.

Additional info, I have a video power Doorbell Pro mounted right above the Duo Cam, it picked up at 10 seconds of that 20 second walk. So at about 10 - 12 feet , it can detect me vs a few centimeters away than the Duo Cam

No comments from Wyze on OG update fails, but actually updates or says it did?

My update a few days ago wen well and have not had any issues. My doorbell mostly does person and package but accuracy has been normal with almost no false positives…although i wish package detection could know a package was already there to reduce repeat notifications.

It will keep notifying you until someone swipes it.

Oh I’m aware hahahaha. I feel it has improved (or my config has) the last month or two.
