Wyze Cam Floodlight v1 - Cam Plus Lite

You want to make sure what Wyze posted is correct for the Wyze Cam Floodlight v1.

They list here that Cam Plus Lite is supported for this model in their comparison chart. I’m a current Cam Plus Lite user.

Is this indeed correct?

That’s exactly why I’m checking. In some places, they explicitly say yes, and others the device isn’t listed. It’s got a V3 in it which made me think she was correct in the post I listed. Curious if any Lite users have had success with it.

According to Wyze any product released after January 1st 2023 will not work with CPL. Have never seen anyone mentioning using the floodlight with it.

Now I understand why you’re asking. Really good question. I don’t have the flood light, but since the camera IS a V3, it should work. However, I believe I’ve seen posts here in the forum stating that Wyze has stopped allowing new Lite subscriptions. If you don’t have it already, you may not be able to get Lite.

Thanks. The V1 was released in Nov 2021. I ordered two just now based on what that page says. Hope it’s right!

Yeah, I’m a current Lite subscriber. That was my thought around it being equipped with the V3, the camera is compatible, plus they explicitly called out the V1 flood as supporting the Lite service. I’ll report back my findings. Maybe that page is correct, and it indeed works. Would make sense that I’m not seeing complaints online I guess.

Yes, the Floodlight V1 does work with Cam Plus Lite since it uses a V3 cam. I used it with mine before I replaced it with a FLPro and just use Cam Unlimited now. But I can confirm it did work with CPLite.

Note that this only works if you already have Cam Plus Lite. Wyze reportedly stopped allowing new signups for Cam Plus Lite and only allow existing legacy subscribers to keep it. So if you don’t already have it, you probably can’t get it now.

Seconded.

Seems to work with CPL.

I notice there’s no ambient brightness setting for Dusk to Dawn like the V2s. Just On/Off with motion or Dusk to Dawn.

Maybe a firmware update will be forthcoming.

BTW, love the 2 camera support in the V1. Can position the additional cam around corners of a structure. Very handy.
