FYI, one of my FLPros kept failing to instal the firmware. I restarted it and it still kept failing the firmware immediately. This was from the Device Info in the settings.

Then I went to the Account Tab, firmware update screen and tried it there and it succeeded.

I had another one that updated fine from the device info page though.

Also, I should report, that I had one FLPro that was not showing me the SD card recordings. I loaded this firmware on it and all the past SD card recordings were suddenly available. so this firmware worked.

I wasn’t really having event uploading problems to my knowledge, so I can’t really say if this helped with that since all of my FLPros seemed to be doing okay with that already.

I will add this firmware onto more than half of my FLPros to see if I can tell any differences, but initial impressions are that it seems to work fine and fixed the one unit that was hiding the SD card recordings (which were still there, just not showing up in the app, and are now showing up).

Will the lights turn off after an automation yet? Turn on floodlight for: x minutes, instead of staying in all night.

No, that likely won’t be part of a firmware update since the floodlight already has support for on and off. The Rule we are looking for in that case needs to be someone updating the “Rules Engine” to support it. I’m rather surprised they haven’t implemented that by now. It seems like an obvious standard feature.

I believe this to be a problem with the app and not the firmware.

The regular flood lights can be turned on for X number of minutes in new automations but the floodlight pro’s cannot…

but…

On the floodlight pro, go to settings, flood light settings, motion, Lights off timer, and set for 5 minutes.

It goes off for me after an automation event turns it on.

But you should be able to set it the same as the other flood lights and say turn on for X number of minutes and then the automation would go back in and turn it off. So I hope they fix that in the app.

In regards to lights timer, 5 minutes it’s the longest it shows which stinks because the other lights can be set for 15 minutes.
We are outside a lot so this light has been a problem for us not being able to use automations with it. I have another camera trigger all of my flood lights on my house so that when I step outside on my porch my outside lights will cut on for safety. So the floodlight Pro will cut on but it will never cut itself back off. All the other lights will except for this one :woman_facepalming:t3:

Yes, I agree. I’ve kept it installed thinking it would have been updated to lengthen the timer to 15 minutes like the other floodlight from wyze, and support the automation for “lights on for x minutes”. At this point I’m thinking maybe I should just change it out If there’s no fix coming.

Oh yeah, that timer in the floodlight settings area might involve the firmware. I mistakenly thought you were talking about the automation action to add a rule for “turn floodlights on for x minutes.” Which they haven’t added yet.

I don’t have this update under account or under the floodlight pros!? How do you get the update? I made Seven cases with Wyze stating that I had this exact issue months ago. Please let me know how to do this ASAP

I think this is just in beta tester mode for now. You can click “become a beta tester” or something similar in Google play store where you download the wyze app.
