I checked with the team and it looks like it is a gradual release and you should see it soon.
Please enable RTSP for the floodlight pro. It’s the online wyze device I can’t record with my NVR.
The floodlight still won’t turn off after automation The V1 Floodlight will but there’s no “turn on for x minutes” on the PRO. It stays on all night long!
I absolutely second that. The reason I bought Floodlight Pro because I enjoyed the V1 feature of “Turn on for X minutes”. Little did I know that after spending 3 times more than V1 I will get something that will not even have that feature. I feel so cheated. Why is it that an inferior floodlight has that feature, but a Pro version does not.
Exactly! And the fact that you’re not made aware of this until you install the flood light at your roof and set it up makes it even more absurd!
This feature was also deleted in the floodlight cam v2. Interesting that you can do the turn on for X minutes automation for cams with spotlights but not on the floodlight. A step forward and a step backwards at the same time for Wyze devices. A common practice lately.
.
Not deleted; never implemented. Floodlight V1 has the “Turn off for xx mins” automation action.
Choice of words @p2788deal but the intention is what matters in the flow of the conversation. I had/have the floodlight v1. However, in the v2 under the action Activate When > Motion there is a “Lights Off Timer” option with a listing of times from seconds to minutes to choose. I was referencing Automation as in the former “Rules” function. Is the Activate When > Motion choice missing from the Pro?
I’ve had a Wyze Floodlight Pro for quite some time now - dusty box. While I don’t expect you to dog your own product, I simply need to know if it’s worth installing the “Pro” version given the issues I’ve read about. I don’t have much hair to lose.
Should I sell it on Ebay, and go for one of several competitive models now available ?, or keep it, & hope for the best ?
Firmware 2.2.1.1176, the latest, is stable and I have no problems.
That’s good to hear. I’ve never been much of an optimist, but I think I’ll give it a go. At least it’s not a 2nd story install. Who knows ? Maybe I have the other one that works !
I’ll look for that firmware version, and keep you posted.
Thanks !
