Wyze called it a "pet"

Our old house up on the mountain is so rural that the camera on the porch qualifies as a trail cam! Poor fellow looks like he’s limping a bit. And doesn’t Mama Deer with her two fawns melt your heart?

I think they mean you can “pet” it. Because I am petting ALL those animals. They are literally begging for it.

I love that video. I’ve almost posted it a couple of times for similar posts, but it wasn’t quite the right timing. I’m kind of excited I finally had a good excuse to post it on here :joy:

I could totally see my toddlers doing the same thing.

You know what they say, as we age we turn into kids and than babies, pretty soon you’ll need a diaper change my friend

My body may have left that stage but my brain never did.

As my wife says: you act like a 15 year old

I get Notifications at times saying a Person is detected when no Person is in view. Here is a screenshot of my App showing Person is detected.

Here is the 12 second video that is suppose to have a Person in view.

I get those as well in front of my garage when headlights cast a shadow at certain times at night.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Wyze Person detection. Probably for me, 99% of the time it is accurate and timely Notifications too.

Just about once or twice per month because of my night time street lighting conditions I get a false Notification like above.

Same here, it usually happens on a moonless nights. Also, I think whenever Wyze updates the algorithms, AI needs retraining.

I would most definitely “pet that dawg”.

I can get dozens of false positives in the space of an hour on a partly cloudy day. It usually says “pet” but sometimes “person” and all it takes is for the sun to go behind or come out from behind a cloud.

I got annoyed one day and sent a batch of them to Wyze, but they never bothered to contact me.
