Wyze Battery Cam Pro Issues

It says I need a redeem code. Where do I find that?

I followed the directions and the firmware did not update to try the beta. Just showed the old version.

Ironically, mine started working even before this latest firmware update. The only thing I did was turn 2 of them to record continuously, which, of course, worked but ran down the batteries, but when I put them back to ā€˜events only’, it finally seemed to force all of them to behave better. They still aren’t perfect, but at least on all 7 of them, they do capture something on the microSD cards. Now, if I can figure out what is triggering them, I’d be even more pleased!! But one issue at a time …

NM. Had to sign up beta for all devices.

IT WORKS NOW!!! Thank you!!! Now I can buy another one and Wyze will likely get a lot less returns from fiber customers.

Looks like they are fixing it with a new firmware update. I tried the beta, and my camera now is working!! Thanks for finding the core issue!

I bought two more Battery Cam Pro cameras. Unfortunately, the firmware has not yet been released and they don’t appear on the Beta test list, so I cannot download the new beta firmware for the new cameras. Hoping the official release of this firmware is soon!
Thanks again for fixing this issue!!!

Interestingly, with the last firmware update, 2 things ā€˜broke’ - when the notification of an event is clicked, it takes you to the event, but I cannot do anything from that point. I have to back out, go to the events page, choose that event and then I can choose any of the options; none of them work straight from the first clicking on the notification. Second - half of the time when I try to review event videos, it comes up with the dreaded ā€˜no video at the selected time’, BUT that’s because it brings me to almost a full minute prior to the event. I can scroll the timeline to get to the actual event timing and then the video will play. Odd. At least I have workarounds so am grateful for that!

I am the original poster on this issue. Today I verified today that beta firmware 1.4.1.2290 resolves the MTU problem:

  1. I backed out my network changes to stock. (ISP: Centurylink fiber ISP MTU=1500;PPoE Tunnel MTU 1492)
  2. I verified that the event viewing problem reappeared with battery cam pro version 1.4.1.2289 (screenshot below)
  3. I joined the beta program and installed 1.4.1.2290
  4. I verified that the camera now uploads events and I can play them from the App

So good job on the fix, I guess. I’ll note that 1.4.1.2290 is not released yet. Mad props to @skiman270 who seems to have kept this issue alive. Wyze team has a bit of work to do since the battery cam pro is still getting negative reviews on amazon by people who are likely experiencing this issue (none of them are me):

I haven’t enjoyed this experience. Wyze support auto-closed two issues without investigating or following-up. Glad you got there but some kind of issue # might be in order. I assume it’s still costing Wyze $$ and returns if other people are bothering to grumble about it on amazon reviews.

Kudos to this Wyze community for keeping the momentum going.

Thanks for finding the fix on this!!! Glad to have my cameras working properly again!

Could I get an update on this issue as I am having the same issue with 2 of my battery Cam Pros not uploading to the cloud. I purchased these cameras a couple of month ago and the firmware version is 1.4.2.3615 well beyond the beta version 1.4.1.2290 is there some new fix that I am missing?

Are you subscribed to cam plus or unlimited? I have no issues with my BCP’s uploading to the cloud.
