Thank you for the status update. I should have also added that even though the cam is inaccessible via Wyze app (live stream attempts fail with -5 on Android and -15 on iOS), the cam is still capturing events and those events are being correctly AI-tagged.

Hello Wyzeli, When I open up the app first thing I see is “Favorites” then all I see is loading live stream after a few seconds to almost a minute trying to load then I get that “failed to connect error code-5” and now one of my cams says “device offline”. I have great internet almost 1gb download 20-30 upload. None of my other devices have issues like these just Wyze unfortunately since I like you guys. Only way to fix this Is that I have to go into the Cam, turn it off and back on then it works but again I shouldn’t have to do this. The live feed should just work. Plus when you have 4 or 5 cams and you need to do this to each one it’s just a pain and extra time simply to view each Cam.

Hi @dash1828,

If your camera has a microSD card inside, could you reproduce your connectivity issue and then send an app log for us to take a look? Do you get the error code when connecting BCP on Favorite page or its livestream page?

Made similar reply on another post. I have this issue on 1.4.1.2289 and 1.4.1.2290 beta. BCP connects fine to livestream after a factory reset or if I pop the battery in/out. But then 5 minutes later, I can no longer load the livestream anymore. Error code -5.

I have two BCP both same issue. My cam v3 and doorbell are connected to same network and no issues there.

I see the last response here was from August. I just received these devices and am having the same issue, so I’m assuming it’s unresolved. Are those affected just returning these and moving on?

I have the same problem as the original poster with my two Battery Cam Pro units. They have direct line of sight to my outdoor Unifi AP. Firmware is updated, I’ve factory reset them, I’ve reconnected the service to my Cam Unlimited.

Wyze closed my ticket after throwing the boiler plate checklist at me. Long time customer but Wyze is doing an abysmal job with this obviously KNOWN BUG!

Can’t play back recordings. Defeats entire reason for security cameras and Cam Unlimited.

What’s the skinny on this known issue. My outdoor security cameras are useless! If I can’t play back events, what’s the point?

Never pays back SD either…
