Updated my Pan Cam v3 without issue. Waiting for the BCP Firmware to be available for me.

Updated 5 CPv3 cams. Been live streaming and checking other features out for a few hours with no issues. Will update additional cams late tomorrow if all goes well.

BCP 1.4.1.2290 firmware still not available.

Don’t want to jump the gun, updated three Pan V3s and in Beta 3 app, opening all three in a group seems way faster to live view. Keeping an eye on it .:eyes:

Unfortunately CPv3 4.50.5.0587 didn’t help me. Within 5 minutes of being powered on, it flashes blue that it has no wifi and never reconnects.

I question that power supply/cable.
I had cam keep loosing and not connecting, turned out to be a weak power brick/cable. Replaced that, and all is well.

I’ve tried the 2A adapter it came with, and I’ve tried 3A USB-PD one, I’ve also tried no power adapter but direct into a USB3 hub. I’ve also tried changing the cable swapping it with one of the several cables I have running the standard wyze 3’s.

The actual cable it came with?
If you are using longer cables than shipped with it just because they may work with some other camera does not mean it’ll work with this one. Does it work with the original cable and the original power brick that it came with?

A USB hub would be a hard no.

Yes, the original cables. I just ordered brand new pan v3 adapter & cable to try them so will see when they show up, but I don’t have much faith I’ll be that lucky.

Double check that the firmware actually updated, so a 20 second reset and add back.

How strong is the signal there?
Also, make sure there are no other wireless devices really close to it. I had a Wyze plug and another Wyze device close together, and that made the plug not want to connect. Separated them by 10 feet or so, and it worked again.

There are so many things that can do this. How many wireless devices do you have in the house all together? What is the Brand and model of your router? Can it handle as many devices as you now have? After I added 35 or so devices, I had to upgrade higher end routers and access points that could handle many more connections. So in order to test that, turn off several other wireless devices that you have on the 2.4 Network and then see if it connects and stays connected.

For the testing it’s right beside the router, showing full signal in-app when it is connected. Router is Asus GT-AXE16000 and 2.4G is dedicated to the cameras (4 V3, the 1 V3 pan, and 4 of another brand). And yes the firmware did update when I checked.

BCP and CPv3 cams have been running well for over 24 hours, so I updated the rest of the fleet. I’m not a good test case for this beta round as none of these cams previously experienced the issues addressed by the firmware changes.

And number of total wireless clients that connect to it?
Good luck finding any documentation that lists how many clients can be connected simultaneously, I can’t find anything for this, although I found someone who said it was 40 per radio, meaning you cant have reliable connections for more than 40 2.4 clients.

The camera’s is it on the 2.4, and 2 phones + 1 tablet on 6E, so definitely no where near 40. Everything else in the household is hard wired.

One last thing I would try.
Set your 2.4 gig radio to 20 on the channel width, not 40, 80, 160…
That helped me as well, but I have about 150 wireless items (mostly Wyze) on my network.
Else, the replacement cable and power brick you are waiting on…if a good fat power cable and power brick with all the power you need doesn’t work, I feel for you.

More testing you could do:
Another router?
Try at a friend’s house on theirs?

Is your router the only one in the house transmitting?
Who is your internet provider?
Are you on just a modem, or a provided combo gateway?
Set to bridge mode with the gateway’s wireless off?

You have the router set for WPA2 security?

Trying this as soon as I get home. Had to get some mood altering liquid because I almost gave my DB2 a flying lesson after seeing it was offline yet again. Stay tuned. Fingers crossed.

Nice. How about an update on the drift issue.
That seems to have been swept under the rug! :rage:
