Wyze Base Station says it belongs to another owner

But I AM the other owner!!

i originally bought my outdoor camera with the base station while living in Chicago. Two years ago, I moved back to Texas and haven’t used it since. Now that I’m setting it up at my new home in Dallas, it says the device belongs to another owner—but I am the original owner.

The instructions say it must be connected to the same network it was originally set up on, but that Wi-Fi no longer exists since I’m in a different state. I believe the base station is still trying to connect to my old Chicago network.

I’ve already done a hard reset, but I still can’t claim it. How can I reclaim ownership? I can’t get any help from Wyze support.

Change the SSID and password on the new network to what you had on the old and should connect with no issues.

If you didn’t delete the base and cameras while they were online on your old network you will never get them set up again on a new network. As @habib said if you remember your old network SSID and password maybe you can make a guest network with those names and try it out. 2.4 network only.
