This is all I see on a V3:
Wait couple of days and Wyze will release a hot fix ![]()
Iām done with updates ![]()
I donāt blame you. Itās like playing lottery, youāll never win ![]()
I have it, but Iād like to do exactly what it has to do with focusing being smart.
My camera group experience seems less robust (mix of cam v2s and v3s) than prior version. This after a couple of days of observing casually. If they must tweak connectivity generally to match the needs of multiple cam types each with their particular connectivity needs, well, hard job, perhaps. If one cam type has to suffer for the improved performance of another, would you favor the cam with the most users (even if old and slowly expiring) or would you favor your up-and-comers? I donno.
This release also brings Smart Focus to SD playback for v4 events (both Events only and Continuous recording). I found that itās currently working only for Person events on SD playback in limited fashion. Your results may differ. ![]()
Iāll check out the V4 and see if I have anything to view.
I just rechecked a few of my v4 cards in-cam. It works for Person, but not always.
I get a significantly better user experience on Android app v2.50.9.512 with my V3 cameras (cameras I only have) compared to v3.1.0.564. It streams much faster and there are no issues with recording a clip. According to @K6CCC and @smellslikeMI, the V3 recording clip issue could be an Android only issue.
It seems they are preferring newer ones. My v3 and v3 pros got much better, my v2s and cam pan seem worse.
I donāt know. I checked only Android.
Ohh that, ok thanks. Thats what they started with in the cams you could stick together. That really isnāt focus, but zoom. No wonder I was confused.
Iāve followed this with interest because I never knew what it was for, not sure do I now. ![]()
It seems to work on my V4s live and SD.
Now someone tell me where & how Iād use it. Iām old and slow to comprehend.![]()
In all honesty, I personally find it useless. Itās more of a vanity than a useful thing. Iāve turned it off as it doesnāt work as someone has envisioned it. We are talking a small phone/tablet screen. This thing would work fine if we had an actual computer app that takes adavnatage of a big monitor. Just my two Canadaian cents ![]()
You can see all ypur cams on a computer screen, but I donāt know if that feature works on one. I turned mine on but donāt know how to make it zoom in.
I donāt use my computer for cameras viewing, Just the app and phone or tablet.
Maybe Iāll log in though and see what cameras looks like on a PC. I could leave it logged in I guess if Wyze allows that. Might be handyā¦
First I tried it. Itās definitely neat, but Iāll hope for more feedback on usefulness for security in particular.
With inflation down here, Iāll say thatās just my 10 US cents.
Doesnāt work on possumās at night.
