When you display several cams in the app simultaneously (group) and some or all of those cams are not aimed at ‘active’ scenes, it becomes difficult to discern if a cam is ‘online’ (currently streaming) or if you are just looking at a still image the app has cached.
Activity of the bitrate display is one clue (imperfect)
But it doesn’t display on each cam’s feed when viewed in a group
Which leaves you watching the timestamp to see if the feed has stalled (or is displaying a static image.)
Which can suck because the background of an image may prevent you from reading the timestamp (white timestamp on light background.)
And any cam viewed in a group, with reduced image size? Forget about it.
So maybe a simple visual clue, big enough to quickly scan for and see, a colored dot, maybe shimmering,…
It should be a toggle setting though. Sometimes I don’t want something on the screen when I am trying to screen capture a video, but there are times I want to know if it is still streaming or stalled out,and as you said, it can be hard to tell when the timestamp is on something light/white.
