Which Full version of the App? Asking as the new Beta App has not become available for me yet.
Edit
Just received the latest beta app for Android. Seems to have corrected some of the issues with the unexpected beta release. Still need to test things out, but so far it is looking good.
There is an irritating event when opening opening Home view with about 4 or 5 cams active for quite some time.
One OG stacked, will have bouncing balls, if I tap it and open it, it pops right open. V4s pop, OG tele under OG pops. Who knows?
Go back and the live Home view is also fine, I have tried other OGs for comparison yet.
Then there’s an OG in the garage window that flakes out occasionally with the SD. Used cheapies, bought a good one, same thing, swapped it out with a new OG, same thing, same location.
Pop out card, put back in, Bing, good to go for a while. All others, 13-14 have the same cheapies SDs from Amazon for more than a year & no issues.
Jinxed location!
Cache etc is cleared daily, Mesh wifi, Samsung S24 Ultra.
For whatever reason the betas always seem a bit slower than production releases. I have a litmus test that opens a group of 12 cameras. This release, b629, and the PR hot fix have caused minor issues when scrolling through the cameras. About 50% of the time at least 1 of the cameras in the group will stop updating the clock. There are no bouncing balls or error messages. Just a static image. If I scroll away and come back it fires up as expected. The other 50% of the time all 12 of the camera clocks run flawlessly for minutes at a time (I get bored and move on).
My working theory is betas may not get access to all the aws servers (thousands and 10’s of thousand in the US alone).
For all I know betas may go to a server or bank of servers at wyze’s location. Like I said–a theory.
BTW. I see you have same phone as I do and a good network. By chance do you have a V3pro with an SD card. I’m chasing an anomoly that occurred at the same time as the hot fix and the subsequent b629 and current b633. The anomoly is my continuous recording to SD card has flaked out. Swapped in a brand new Sandisk High Endo card. Can’t record continuous. Factory reset V3 Pro. Uninstalled and reinstalled the camera. Reset services, etc.
What did work was changing the SD to “Events”. With a little persuasion (toggling the Record to SD card), it started recording continuously to the SD card. I have run it for over 24 hours without a hiccup. It is repeatable on the hot fix, b629 and b633.
Bottom line. The toggle is backwards.
I cannot, in my minds eye, come up with a scenario that points to a defective camera or SD card
Sorry, I only have Pan V3s, OGs and V4s. I’m a newb owner, only about 1.5-2 years.
I did experience static live views off and on though now that you mention it.
But some of this OG SD issue may have been pre any Beta joining. Don’t remember, no big deal.
My garage OG is the only one of 15, 23 operational, that has an SD issue occasionally. All Amazon cheapies, except garage.
Swapped camera, swapped SDs, the only thing near it is a Pan V3.
I expect Beta Issues, I’m a sucker for Beta software. Running One ui7 Android 15 on the Samsung, beta 4 or 5, don’t remember. And a few other app Beta’s.
I just looked at my one V3 Pro that is active (the other one is not currently powered). It is recording continuously to the µSD card and the app switch to control that is behaving normally.
Checked with an Android with version 3.4.0.b633 and @#$%^&* iPhone with 3.4.0(2)
Thanks for checking. The V3 pro is one of my favorites but I don’t have a spare. It is in the bizarre caregory. I see the v3pro on sale at wyze. I may replaced mine and see what happens. I hate to do that but sometimes a replacement is the solution.
I have a second V3 Pro that is normally in my pickup truck. However I replaced my truck last week and have not gotten around to installing my Wyze cameras in the new truck. Hopefully sometime in the next week.
I posted in the other thread but this is in the new Descriptive Alerts area (nice filter and selections now, gj Wyze). Descriptive Alerts are dope y’all.
