I was just curious as I read the thread about stacking and unstacking. I can’t find the thread right now but if memory serves me the poster was complaining about having a large number of notifications, each having to to be singularly dismissed. I don’t have enough notifications to have noticed a problem but just checked. I had one notification that referenced 2 wyze notification. I was able expand the single notification and see the 2 individual notifications. Was able to unexpand the notification and dismiss in one swipe.
Seems very usable to me. Someone with 10’s or more notifications should chime in with their experience.
No problem. I was looking through that thread hoping I could figure out why my camera notification settings were wonky. Wyze did a fix last night on the cloud that magically fixed that issue.
I’m guessing that when your phone is on a primary WiFi the feed from the cameras gets looped through the internet to reach your phone. When the phone is on guest the loop is direct. Sounds like Wyze server issue to whatever servers OG connect to.
Interesting problem. Of my 10 cams one is OG, one is OG-T.
I do not have a guest network therefore I have not seen what you are seeing but I have noticed the OG’s acting a bit different than my other wyze cams.
They load fast.
As 3.x progressed the bouncing balls/live view problems became more prevalent. For a while when I opened a group all my cams, except the OG’s, would have bouncing balls and failed live view. The OG’s always seemed to open right up while the other cams were in distress. So many things were going on with 3x that this observation took a back seat. This issue has been greatly reduced in b574 andb576.
Another observation is I think the resulting image quality on the OG’s was not as good as my other cams. I guessed that the OG’s were doing a different level of compression that allowed them to load faster but reduced the quality of the image. Note:this is speculation on my part.
The fact that only the OG has this problem leads me to thinking there is a compatibility issue with the OG and the router.
Just out of curiosity have you tried setting the resolution on the OG TO 360p?
Let’s see if this issue gets the attention of others with the same setup as you have.
