Wyze app 2.44 Beta Test 7/17/2023

With IOS App 2.43, when viewing a cloud event video and pressing the Playback button to jump the SD Card video, the Playback always jumps to near the most recent part of the SD card timeline. Not to the time of the cloud event video.

Can anyone verify if IOS Beta App 2.44 has fixed this bug?

I have had this issue over several app versions, but Cam Plus stats under the account page never updates anymore.

No….this issue is not solved in this beta.:face_with_raised_eyebrow: I will revert back to 2.43(5). This time, it does not tempt me much. I will lose the “dark mode”.

This seems to still be an issue on the latest beta.

I just tested the streaming of a Cloud Event and clicked on the Jump to SD Card. The Stream transitioned to the SD Card at the same time of the cloud event.

Does that answer your Question?

EDIT After seeing @IEatBeans comment

What Camera are you seeing this on?

How are you testing? Curious as I have a cloud event at 3:38 Eastern Time, I then started to stream it, 10 seconds in, I tapped on the SD Card and it transitioned to the SD Card at the same time and event.

I tested with my V3Pro. What camera did you test with?

I only have v3 cameras on firmware 4.36.10.4054. The Playback jumping to the most recent SD card timeline only happens on IOS App 2.43.5 (3).

Android 2.43.5 (313) Playback works as it should.

Are you testing the IOS 2.44 Beta App?

iOS Beta 2.44. Will test with a V3 and provide feedback

EDIT

Just tested with my V3 and I can reproduce the issue. When it jumps, it shows the time I am looking for and then goes to the current time. So it may be a V3 issue. I am using a beta FW release 4.36.11.4847

Seems to work fine on the V3Pro and Floodlight Pro. Need to put an SD Card in my OG to see if the issue exists on that

Playback on iOS would show current time briefly and then switch to the “correct” time of the event. On the Android the current time step did not happen.
Tested with V2, V3, OG-Tele, and V3 Pro.

Yea, seems to be those cameras with the older SD Card playback GUI. I am going to get this reported.

Can you and provide a device log?

@StevenA , can you also provide a device log?

WyzeJasonJ mentions (3rd post from the top) on this thread the Playback jumping issue would be addressed in next release.

I saw that, he said hoping, but this is still a beta and being worked on. He may have been referencing when it goes public.

Here is a v3 Device Log 1115470.

I believe the issue is in IOS App 2.43.

My v3 camera Playback worked fine on IOS App 2.42 and v3 firmware 4.36.10.4054.

The playback issue appeared in beta at 2.43.0(9). Working fine in 2.43.0(5).

@WyzeJasonJ @WyzeAndy

Here is a log as @StevenA provided as well: 1115471

I am finding the following issue on the iOS Beta App.

Note: This seems to be only an issue with iOS and with the Cameras using the Old SD Card UI. For example, cameras with this SD Card UI has the problem:

Camers with this UI does not seem to have the issue:

Issue

  • Go to the app and tap on the Events tab
  • Select a V3 or V2 Camera which has an SD Card in it and stream an event from the past
  • During streaming, tap on the SD Card at the bottom to jump to the SD Card at the position where the event occurs

Result: you will see the SD Card Load, go to the event (Briefly), then jump to the current time on the timeline.

Do the same on a V3 Pro, and it will not jump to the current time on the timeline, but will remain at the time of the event.

V3s.

thanks, that is interesting as I can reproduce this at will on my V3’s.

What version is your Firmware?

Just tried PanV1 and CamV2. No issue.

V3s are at 4.36.11.4847 and 4.36.11.4565. Issue with these 2 versions.

Keeping 4.36.11.4565 for my driveway because of the “no cooldown” in CPL.:slightly_smiling_face:

@Stevena @gyzmo

I was checking on the issue related to iOS and the SD Card. I was informed that it has been fixed and will be in the RC or release version on the app.

So this Beta release does not contain the fix.
