Welcome to the Wyze User Community Forum @User2022!
I had 2.41.5 for Android installed and had no issues with viewing Event Video Clips for the VDBv1. I currently have the Beta App installed and doorbell videos play also.
You would need to download the APK file for the older version from an archive site like APK Mirror, uninstall the current Wyze App, give your phone permission to run APK Installs from the download directory, and execute the APK install.
Will our current version update itself from Wyze?
Not quite understanding how to make the change. I have 12 cameras and not sure what to do. Many of my friends bought your cameras due to my love for them and I bought several for gifts…now I dont quite understand how to change the app…help please! My friends will expect me to help if the app doesn’t update itself. Thanks

All app updates are processed thru the App Store for the platform you use (App Store for iOS\Apple or Google Play for Android). When an app update is available, it will show as update available in your installed apps listing within your Google Play Store account. If you have Auto Update enabled within your Google Play Store settings, it will download and update the app automatically. I have my updates set to manual, so I get a push notification from the Play Store any time I have updates to any of my apps that need downloaded and installed.
I don’t use iOS, so I can’t speak to how their updates work.
EDIT: I should learn to think before I speak. On iOS if you don’t choose automatic updates you have to go and check what is available. Might be a push notification, but not sure as I don’t use it. I’m a manual guy, I hate anything shoved down my throat
Thanks for the quote back. Didn’t realize my typo. Post corrected.
I specifically do manual because of my participation in the Beta program. I have other apps that are heavily dependant on the WyzeMessage notification channel. When I test a Beta App, it changes the origin app name of the notification channels and causes some issues until I make corrections to compensate. If I am actively testing, it is better for me to wait and schedule the update for later.
