Notification Sound Changed IOS

Since the new update the notification sound changed from the simple chime to an irritating noise. How do I change this? Seems the only solution wyze provided is for android devices. Do we have some information for iOS devices?

Agreed, the new sound is annoying. This change should be reversed so that the phone default notification sound is used. I have Android, and am not able to override this change in the latest update. Confirmed by customer support.

@pnsheridan Welcome to the community! After so many complaints, Wyze is currently working on a new sound file. The new notification sound will be implemented hopefully in the near future.

Or let the user select a notification sound. I’d like a different one for Wyze so I know it isn’t just a text message. Android - Samsung phone.

Looked at other posts on how to do this. Problem solved.

Glad to hear. Android users has the option to change the notification sound vs iOS users cannot.

It turns out that sound notifications in iOS is possible but is something that the app developer (in this case Wyze) needs to implement in the app. Here is an article:

That’s correct but iOS users cannot use a custom notification sound of their choice like Android users can. :slightly_smiling_face:

I do not hear well. I had set a custom sound for the notification. now I miss the notifications because I can not hear them. was an unnecessary change. with all the options users could use their own sound of choice. i regret buying all the Wyze cameras I have. i get false alarms with light changes even with the cam Plus. looking at other cameras currently so I can throw all of these away

I understand and sorry for the frustration the new notification sound caused for you. If you are using an Android, you should be able to reset the custom sound you were using before. I changed the sound on my Android phone by following the steps below.

Android Phone Setting > Apps > Wyze > Tap on WyzeMessage > Sound. Choose your custom sound and tap ok.
