This is about Wyze app 2.39.
Wyze Cam v3, Firmware 4.36.9.139
iPad (5th Generation) iOS 16.2
iPhone 11 iOS 16.2
Just like @gyzmo reported, five cameras on two different WiFi networks, two different locations, randomly take longer to connect. Force closing the app or returning to previous screen connects them back. This issue was not present in 2.38.2
When viewing grouped cameras on iPad in landscape mode the app goes in lock screen mode. This issue was not present in 2.38.2. here is a link to a post where few people are reporting the issue:
Looks like Wyze listened and got rid of the white border around camera views in group view. However it introduced few new bugs:
The landscape group view on iPad superimposes the time/date on the left and WiFi/Battery indicator on the right portion of the top. See image below.
When selecting a single camera view from within a group view, hitting the back button takes you back to a single view (rotated) instead back in group view. This was not an issue in 2.38.2
Back button/arrow click:
Rotated single view:
Instead of group view like in 2.38.2
This adds unnecessary steps of clicking back, rotating the iPad and clicking again to go back to group view. Counter intuitive and counter productive.
One more thing, the Loading Live Stream indicator, IMHO is unnecessary large.
All in all, poorly designed interface.
For all the above reasons, I rolled back to 2.38.2 on my iPad. I left the 2.39 on my iPhone and I will further test and report back.
Update: Also the mute/speaker icon looks out of place where it is now in group view. It should be tucked a bit back and down.
The top row of icons on the home page of my iPhone got superimposed over iPhone’s icons. See below. I was able to take screen shot. After closing and reopening the app it was gone. Unable to reproduce it any longer. Just keep an eye.
