Wyze app 2.39 , Cam v2 & Cam Pan Firmware Beta Test 1/19/2023

I have not unfortunately :frowning: I even tried putting them on their own router and it still did not change anything, to go even further, I brought one to my work, and set it up on their wifi and it still did the same, im pretty sure its the encoding to the cloud that is the issue, at least for me based on my engineering degree with the problem solving I tried.

Thanks for the response. I have 4 cams and it only happens on Cam plus service enabled camera. I’ve swapped around the cam plus license from cam to cam and its only choppy on the one with Cam plus enabled. Even the 12 second vids from the cam light is smooth.

That is interesting, I’m going to try that and see what happens (in regards to the cam plus) thanks for mentioning that!

Seeing incorrect Cam Plus available licenses (unlimited). I have 52 available and it says 79. Video length is also not updating. Cleared cache, uninstalled, reinstalled and logged out and back in with no fix.

This is 100% what is happening!! I disabled CAM + and just had it do the basic non plus cloud features and NONE of the videos skip when I view them…something is weird with the cam plus service, the video quality is worst with the paid service than with the free service… anyone from @Wyze want to chime in on this?

EDIT: if i log into the wyze live website and view the cam plus events NO skipping. So it seems to be an app issue. For the record im on a Samsung S22 Ultra.

Hey @spamoni - doesn’t this sound super familiar? Haha. Exact problem I was describing and now is validated by others regarding CP licensing deviations and also service/performance related issues when the license somehow screws up. By the looks of the additional comments, it looks like they have identified added issues as well when being on CP specifically. Has there been any updates with the last set of information I provided to you?

Also, I just thought (for the folks reporting the CP licensing issues/performance troubles), try the following - it’s written as a reply to Spamoni as context for phrasing/grammatical purposes:

Went to SERVICES screen and removed the license from the ‘broken’ device. I did it WITHOUT using the “Add Cameras” or “Add Licenses” option. Instead, clicking on the device and choosing UNASSIGNED. This prevents the error 1000 from happening and messing up licenses on all other devices. Went to the device in live view and it immediately started showing cooldown/limited non-CP functionality. Then at the top, clicked on the circle icon with the + sign and then it popped up to indicate available CP licenses were available, offering an ability to add a license directly through there. Accepted that and it confirmed license as successfully added. Went into settings and set all my EVENT and NOTIFICATIONS. I repeated this on all my affected cameras. As far as I’m aware, all cases were 100% successful as they now started showing vehicle, person, etc. reliably again (or at least, as reliable as it was before).

I tried other ways to remove and re-add cam plus, but had not tried your way, I just tried it and unfortunately still stuck with the skipping, freezing etc :frowning: I do believe its something to do between the cloud and the app with CAM Plus, because of it not skipping or stuttering when I go to Live stream - Wyze and view the same events. its perplexing because of there not being an issue with non Cam Plus cloud recordings.

Edit: I’m on Android - Samsung S22 Ultra, if that makes a difference.
