Wyze Adopts Dishonesty

I have been a follower of the “negotiated by Wyze” promotions especially the Yeelights - Yeelight Smart Cube Kit

Today, the flyer advertised the “music kit”, but what Wyze was actually selling is a random combo from the Yeelight line - Beat Kit: Base (1), Panel Cube (4), Spotlight Cube (2), and Adapter (1).
The flyer had “Base (4), Dot Matrix Cube (4,) Panel Cube (6), Adapter(4)”.
I have been waiting for this sale and timing it like a hawk.
I was excited about it because of what was on the flyer, until I checked the inconsistency in the whole thing.

I am going to sue Wyze for the dishonesty unless they agree to sell me the contents in the flyer at the said price. Ater that I am heading over to Reolink. It’s hard to cope with a company hell-bent on defrauding its customers!!

Hey @odhiambo,

I hear your frustration about the flash sale mix-up, and I want to personally apologize. You’re absolutely right. We messed up by using the wrong image. For some reason music kit became interchangeable with beat. The Beat Kit is the actual product on sale (what you saw in the “What’s in the box”, not the larger Music Kit that was shown in the photo.

We’re fixing this error right away to prevent any further confusion. If this changes your mind about the purchase, I’m happy to help process a cancellation/return for you. No hassle at all. Please let me know if you would like for us to cancel this transaction. If the order has already been processed, we will set up a simple return for you.

We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thank you.

Best,
Veronica

I watched it too and home many of these kits were available ? 5? 6? 7? Signed up for the email, never got it, go to Yeelights website where they are charging $179 .. doesn’t feel like a “negotiated deal” feels more like a bait and switch. Super disappointing

Sorry that you’re feeling that way. It’s not what we want at all. These negotiated deals are mainly for flash sales. + Some of our partners will have special discounts on their site post-flash sale. Our partners can send anywhere from 30 units to 100+ per sale event. If I recall correctly, the recent Yeelight flash sales have been about 100 units each time and have sold out quickly. The same thing happened with our Typhur flash sales. Around Black Friday, our flash sales were gone in under 30 seconds. It is pretty wild to watch from our side too.

You did bring to my attention that we don’t have an easy way for people who are interested in our flash sales to add themselves to a notification list. I’ll work on something…

It’s not right for a company like Wyze to put confusing/misleading information for their customers.
Don’t you have a department that verifies everything before it goes out? Quality Assurance, or something?
I anxiously waited for this sale because the flyer said “Music Kit”. Not for any other reason.
When I looked at the “What’s in the box” is when I realized that the flyer was a “bait”. I had cancelled my engagements to dedicate my time to this special sale, knowing it was a “Flash Sale”. This turned out to be one of the greatest emotional tortures I have gone through with Wyze because of the anticlimax.
This practice of misleading a customer to purchase something is illegal.
That’s why I took the screenshots and wrote my post. You should be hearing from my lawyers soon. I am not accepting an apology because there was no reason/justification to use the flyer for the “Music Kit” if you did not intend to sell it. The last time you used the flyer for the “Standard Kit” correctly, since you sold the exact kit as advertised. For what purpose did you advertise the “Music Kit”? Bait!
The only remedial measure is for you to facilitate my getting the Music Kit at the price you advertised.
Thank you.
