Seems kinda weird that wyze only has single pole switch’s when most houses have 3 and 4 way switches as well, nobody wants to use a seperate app for other switches. Anybody know if more switches are in the works? I feel like this should be a all or non type of thing.
They said in some AMA’s that they had some in development in 2022, but then canceled those projects at the end of 2022 when everyone was complaining at them to stop releasing so many non-camera products and get back to focussing on Cameras, so they canceled everything and declared they would focus on cameras for the next couple of years until they hit profitability, which they finally did for the first quarter ever this year in Q1…so maybe they’ll eventually revive some of those old projects, but I haven’t heard anything since their announcement that they canceled all other non-camera projects at the end of 2022. They might pick it back up again if they decide to get back to expanding their smart home offerings again, but there is no official indication of that at this time.
Yeah… I’m really surprised as well that they do not have a 3 way switch. I want to be able to control multiple Wyze bulbs in my family room, but they are on a 3 way circuit.
The only option is to bypass one of the 3 way switches, essentially turning the other one into a single pole switch and installing the Wyze switch.
That tradeoff is fine as I don’t really use the switch at the other location… and I can always yell at Alexa to turn it off/on from anywhere
