Wireless cameras won't connect on Wyze App

Same issue with one of my cameras. I love the profound suggestion of turning it off and on again! Man I wish I would have thought of that one? Placebo

Same problem here for the last 2 months can’t get a live view using data after numerous phone calls to support an emails along with even down to reflashing the camera, then replacing the camera etc still the same problem. In warranty I return the camera to wyze and going to go buy a wired V3

Not sure if anyone noticed same thing like when you try to view camera in app during late night to early morning - everything is working great. No issues viewing live connection, playback recordings and downloading. For some reasons during day time connection is either hit or miss but good thing is that it records everything and push notifications during the day. If for some reason you can’t view right away during the day, you might still be able to review it later at night. Not sure this something to with cloud services that Wyze uses that is probably overloading during the day? Not sure. Anyway, this is just my observations.

confirmed I have the same issue. once I removed the outdoor cams from the group, they now work fine. hopefully an update with fix this issue once they release one.

I had the same problem. I just restarted my phone and mine are working fine

This may be unrelated, but my outdoor cams would not work in the app but recorded and trigger alerts. My issue was the cameras were in a group, once I removed them they work fine.

While they were in a group and I tried to view the camera it would not connect, or even more strange it would show the feed from the other outdoor cam on the same hub.

Once I removed them from the group, all is good.

One of my two outdoor cameras has a mind of its own. I was having a problem with connecting the live view via the app and my iPhone even though the camera recorded “events”, sent a notification and I was able to view the events via the app and iPhone. After reading the comments here I tried restarting the hub, restarting the camera, removing the camera from the group an reinstalling it and restarting my iPhone, testing the operation after each and before preforming the next fix. The camera appeared to work after the delete and reinstall and I connected to it several times, but then the blue light would go off and I couldn’t connect. BTW, the camera did update with the new firmware before I started all the above. I could turn the camera off then on and reconnect again but the blue light would go off and same old story. I have 7 Wyze cameras (5 wired and 2 outdoor) 5 on plus and 2 outdoor on plus lite, and a Wyze doorbell on plus. As others have noted, I typically have problems after an update from Wyze. Any ideas what to do to fix this? It’s getting really frustrating.

Hi, I also have the same issue and have logged in with WYZE Support ([Wyze Ticket 1917037] Re: Livestream to Outdoor Camera does not connect consistently)

This resolved my issues as well - I also had my 2 outdoor cams to a group. Once I removed them from the group - the issues are resolved. THANKS!!!

I found it by accident. I am glad that it helped!

I kept trying and noticed that the camera worked until I added it to my group of other cameras. As long as it’s a “stand alone” it works fine, except it was on cam plus lite and now it won’t go back to CPL. I have a ticket number from Wyze so I’ll leave it this way until I hear from them, hopefully with a permanent fix. Thanks to everyone for for sharing experiences, ideas and suggestions.

Maybe one day Wyze will be as helpful diagnosing and fixing problems as their paying customers are.

Now my Wyze doorbell camera is doing the same thing my Wyze outdoor camera was and still is doing. The doorbell camera records events and sends notifications but will not show real time video. I removed the outdoor camera from the group of my other cameras and it works fine. Wyze sent me an email saying “be patient” they’re working on a solution, my patience is running out. I can’t remove the doorbell camera from a group since it’s in a group of its own by Wyze design, so I’m stuck for now. I’ve tried all the fixes suggested and none work. I have a lot of Wyze devices at several locations but I’m beginning to think that Wyze is not a very reliable product and to look elsewhere.
