So I have about nine cameras now in my house and outside my house all different kinds of Wyze Cameras but I feel like after certain updates my cameras aren’t as good as they used to be. When I get into my house, my cameras will work when I’m on Wi-Fi but once I leave my house, they barely work anymore. And then I start to notice that the cameras are blinking blue rapidly, so as soon as I unplug them and plug them back in, they will work, but couple days later back to the blinking. My Cameras used to be perfect whether I was in cellular or wifi. But after a few updates, they’re not as good as they used to be. I’m thinking it’s time to switch Anybody else having the same problem?
There was an issue in the past related to the number of cameras in a group and streaming.
Can you remove about 3 or so cameras and get it down to below 8 to see if group streaming works? Also, can you tap on one of the cameras that aren’t connecting and see if it will display the live streamfor the one camera. I understand that it will.
Can you also provide the following:
- iPhone Wyze App Version
- iOS Version
- Firmware of a few cameras you are seeing the issue with
- Type of Camera you provide the Firmware for
Also, can you submit an app log for this and provide the Log Number here.
sorry, new users can only post one picture at a time I don’t know how to find my log what does that even mean?
Ok, to get the Log file:
- Start the App
- Tap on the Account Menu Choice
- Tap on Wyze Support
- Tap on Submit Log
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on Account and Services
- Scroll down to other and tap on it
Then add a brief description, make sure Send Log File has been checked and submit a log.
In addition to that,
Can you remove one camera from the group and see if the camera will stream without being in a group. Trying to eliminate the group from this process.
BTW: Welcome to the Wyze Community.
I am a Community Volunteer and try to assist when possible.
Wow. I have seven in my group. How does grouping affect a cam? I am curious.
There was some issue in the past, which I believe has been fixed. Turns out if you had more than 8, I believe, you would get the spinning loading when looking at the group. But when you clicked on one camera it would live stream. However, this may not be the case here. I think it had to do with the load in getting the Live Stream at one time.
This is why I was curious if a camera outside of the group could be streamed. Need the other information so I can try and get some eyes on this.
none of them load they just stay like that. What other information do you need?
Having a weird issue with my video doorbell pro. Weird blob ghost image that appeared out of nowhere in the last couple of days. Submitted a ticket and did everything they suggested as well as cleaning the lens but the problem persists and Wyze can’t explain it. Just out of warranty so I am out of luck.
Wonder if anyone has encountered this before. I hope I have attached the picture correctly. It’s the black smudge just above the top left corner of the doormat
If you could get the Log and provide the following:
- iPhone Wyze App Version
- iOS Version
- Firmware of a few cameras you are seeing the issue with
- Type of Camera you provide the Firmware for
Welcome @michael.labute
Curious if the blob changes if you take it out of square mode. You do that by clicking on the 3 dots and then selecting the circle Square icon.
Can you provide the Ticket Number here?
Also, if you submitted logs, can you provide the log numbers also.
It’s not recommended to point “security cameras” inside your place. Especially"cloud" camera.
I think security camera companies should pay customers for pointing the camera inside customer’s. Imagine how much the security company could sell customers data to ads companies.
Just like Google, Facebook, and many other companies. They have all said that they take customers privacy very seriously.
Exactly, but I don’t consider my Wyze Cam a security cam. It’s just another gadget sold by Wyze. I like my Wyze cam but I wouldn’t rely on it for security.
They should just put a big yellow sticker on the cam for people to pull off that reads “Online cam. Just believe others may be watching. We don’t know what kind of security you think the internet has but its apparent that its not that good.”
That could actually be a router issue. People tend to skip the other things they don’t think about or think it could be it as they don’t see problems with other uses. I can tell you that a router or Wifi AP can cause just the cam to not work right and everything else can appear fine. Things aren’t simple enough to rule out the router here.
(It can of course be some compatibility issue with your router / wifi AP with the fault being on either side, firmware issue, app with the device, internet quality, Wyze server quality, or something else. I should also state that probably 90% or more of people may have trouble with it as a lot of this stuff involved here is more advanced. This is not a simple thing although people try to make it appear simple. It definitely is not simple.)
- Blob stays in place but does curve a bit
